Ah-ha, yes, so any ideas as to what the car is?

Come on people, you can't give up so easily

So, it's a K-car, which means it's most probably a domestic market Japanese car. But it's not a Suzuki WagonR or a Daihatsu Move and it's got 'stepped' front windows. So, any ideas?!?

Do you want a clue...?

Actually, the EU gets some of the Kei cars too. My grandma actually drives a Suzuki WagonR+ (and she's 89. I say "drives", I mean "sits in the driving seat while it moves").

miniMADness - I was thinking the same thing, but just can't see it myself... If you're right, well done :D If not... dunce! :D

Oh good god... It's a Daihatsu Cuore (Daihatsu Mira on some markets)... The front door is a red herring... The rear window and 3/4 window, and angle on the windscreen are just Cuore...

But the European WagonR isn't a K-car as it doesn't have a 660cc engine.

Did you know that the WagonR is pronounced 'waggoner'?

My grandma's does... 3-cyl 660cc..

If it's not a Cuore/Mira, it's a Perodua Kalisa/Nippa - they currently use the same body shape...

Right Famine you might be able to help me considering you're a fellow Brit. Right do you know where I can get any of the vehicles created by Ed China?? If you don't know him I'm going to have to shoot you. I tried searching for some of the things he's made on the net, but can't find any. It just keeps on comming up with seach results about some bloke called Ed in China. :irked:

Ed China's that weird, skip/sofa/orange driving man, isn't he?

The only thing of his I could find was:

Robocar.jpg

A car designed to look like a robot lawnmower (why? :D).

I searched Yahoo! for "Ed China" +car - although a lot of crap sprung up (it doesn't help that -ed is like THE most common verb ending... :D)

That's him.
Though you've now kind of given away what I had in mind, which was posting the pictures of some of his wacky vehicles, like the robot lawnmower. Actually I think it looks quite kool.
O well cheers anyway...

I'm sure there's a four-posrer bed of his somewhere around, but I can't find it...

There's always the edit button, if you want to post one... Just PM me and I'll edit :D

Is your Grandma's the original WagonR? My Mum's got one of the new shape (European) ones back in the UK, and that's 1300cc.

And no, it's not any of the other cars you mentioned. I put a clue in one of my other posts.

You were right about the van, but that wasn't really difficult was it as the badge was on the front and all;)

No, it's not an Alto. Oh, and what's wrong with Kei cars?

Here it is again...

OK, so I guess everyone's given up, or doesn't care:D So here's the answer.

The car is a Honda Life

Oh yeah who makes this one smarty pants?

hamburger.jpg

This is actually a real car made by Pininfarina one of only 7.

is that hamburger the most pointless car/thing ever? Seeing as how you answered your own question, chaser_fan, will you be leaving us to spend some time with those Columbian chicks?

A hamburger car driven by a lady that looks like shes eaten too many hamburgers. Hmm...
Wow that's a Ferrari estate???? (I know it's a pinafarina but there you go) Got any specs on it Skyline???

1996 Ferrari 456GT Estate

EST. 190,000

built for the Sultan of Brunei...that man is crazy man! His collection includes 8 McLaren F1s, 6 Dauer 962 LMs, the only right-hand-drive CLK-GTR in the world, a pair of Jaguar XJR-15, a Porsche 959, 3 Cizeta V16Ts, a Lamborghini Diablo Jota .... and 5,000 other premium cars. HOLY CRAP!

I'll try to find other stats for you.

Thanks Daan 👍 :D . Random name for that web site but still kool.

Wow skyline guy you know a bit about him then. I heard he was supposed to be like an ex rally driver or test race cars or something hence how he managed to get his hands on soo many ultimate super cars. I think he's got some road going versions of 911 GT1's as well and I heard a rumor sumwhere that he actually has a TS020  . O well. Cheers for it any way. Why would he need 8 McLaren F1's btw and 6 Dauers?????:odd: . I'm not complaining I'd love to have 6 Dauers, but what like one for every day of the week I suppose.

So anywayz thanks to Daan I can now post this pic...
It's top speed is 69mph. I don't know about you lot but I would't want to do that in a motorised bed...

screw the 6 Dauers why does he need 5000 cars? Hell I'll take a skyline off his hands....with that many cars who needs insurance? He could total one every day and still have enough cars to last him 13.69 YEARS......

He supposedly bought the F1 GT-Rs for McLaren to meet the homologation quota set by the FIA for GT racing. It's cheating if you ask me:irked:

A parking lot???

Actually it's the sultan's brother who is the one with the car obsession.

He's got a huge complex where he keeps all his cars, I have some photos somewhere. I'm oh so jealous:irked:

Here's a list and info of some of his cars. I didn't write it, so if you find any inaccuracies, don't blame me:odd:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ferrari F40
One in each colour thanks, Red, White, Black...Ferrari are reported to have refused selling multiple F40's to the Sultan - so legend has it - he went into the secondary market and purchased the cars he wanted - probably at a significant premium.

Ferrari F50
Again - one in each colour, Red, Silver, Black, Yellow...

Ferrari 456GT Venice
Ferrari designer Pininfarina is said to have designed and built 9 special 456's for the Sultan in 1997. 3 convertibles, 3 four-door wagons and 3 four-door sedans. The wagon/estate/shooting-brake is reportedly called the 456GT Venice and is quite a good looking car! Four-doors are based on a stretched wheelbase and all have regular 456 running gear.

Ferrari Mythos
Only appeared as a showcar. The Sultan has at least 2. Unlike the one that was shown on the motorshow circuit - both these were fully functional and had closed top designs. They are also said to have air-conditioning. Red, Blue, Designed by Pininfarina.

Ferrari FX
F512M based car complete with F1-style paddle shift - this car was never seen publically. The paddle-shift is reportedly a version engineered by Ferrari for the F50, but was not actually used in the production run. Another Pininfarina produced car - like the Mythos, these cars must have had approval from the Ferrari factory as they feature full badging. Has at least one in Black.

Aston Martin AM2
A twin-supercharged (based on the V8 that powers the A-M Vantage) 5.3 V8 powered coupe, not dissimilar to DB7 or Vantage project car. Again the work of Pininfarina. This one is finished in Red, with red-leather interior.

Bentley Java
Only a showcar according to the factory. Based on a purpose-built chassis and Rolls-Royce engine (not the 5-series platform and V8 engine the showcar had) - and not in fibreglass - but real metal. The Sultan has a few to choose from including a silver estate version.

Bentley Grand Prix
A never seen car from Bentley - apart from some heavily disguised high-speed testing at Nardo, Italy in 1996 - where is was mistaken by many as a BMW Z8/9 prototype. Large coupe body style, looks to have headlights not dissimilar to a Porsche 911, high-boost turbo V8 power.

Bentley Pegasus Estate
A car that was spied in an AutoCar magazine a few years back - but never made it into production. Based on a Continental T chassis - stretched to have a four-door or estate body. One in Blue.

Rolls-Royce Limo
A large not-seen-before limo produced by Rolls-Royce. Does not appear to use the panels from any production R-R but the headlights look like an early run of the later Silver Seraph model, one in Black.

Bentley Dominator
A Bentley 4x4 - made before the current rush towards SUV's and luxury 4x4's, this one was produced on a custom chassis with Range Rover driveline and Bentley V8 turbo power - incredible. At least 2 in Black.

Mercedes 600 Pullman
A replica of the greatest limo ever. These cars were specially built by AMG (they had a large section of their factory geared specifically towards producing cars for the Sultan - known as the Sultans Room). They are special in that they have modern S-class power and modern automatic gearboxes, electric windows, airbags and interior. Hand-built - at least one in Black.

Mercedes 300SL
As above - hand-built replica's of the real thing, complete with modern running gear and auto-gearboxes. Why doesn't Benz sell these!!! A few Gullwing's and a few Roadsters spotted. Black.

Dauer 962
These cars were road going Porsche 962's produced (re-engineered really) by Dauer. These are said to be the fastest cars in the entire collection (no mean feat). The Sultan is reported to own 6 of them - 2 spotted in Yellow and Red.

McLaren F1
8 F1's reside in the Sultans garage - ranging from the humble (errrr...) road car to many racing LM's. In one photo I have seen, a black LM can be seen with 'UENO Clinic' stickers and the number 50 on the side - didn't this car win Le Mans in 1995??? There is also a Gulf-liveried LM in the same shot.
