I just wanted to know if the Buttkicker that you install on your playseat is really noisy? Just because i was thinking of buying one but my family would probably go mental if is to noisy! Cheers.

Unless you have a very sturdy, stable, rock-solid cockpit on carpet with few moving parts and have your gear hard mounted, there will most certainly be rattling. It will be annoying to those around you.

Ok thanks :D

There are some resonation at certain frequencies, but you can dampen them by using ButtKicker rubber isolation feet or turning the volume down a bit. I think your family could live with it. Then again, I don't know the build quality of PlaySeats...

As they wear they tend to make more noise too. So they can be silent to start with. But better put some rubber on the floor etc or you can follow the bass tunes in other rooms anyway ;)

As for playseats I have used a gamer on a playseat evolution. It work quite well. Of course the sturdier the cockpit the better it will work but the Evolution was sturdy enough for me to enjoy it. rumble strips felt just the same as my G25 in GTR 2 so it was not muddy as it can get when you have play somewhere.

Thank you for the information, might think about getting one!

Regardless of whether or not they'll be annoying to your family, do consider getting one even if you only get to use it when they're not around. It's one of the best investments for immersion when compared to money spent.
