After seeing the GT Academy fiasco with corner cutting, dirty driving will happen very much in the time trials if we get them via update 👎
For some reason GT5 is worse than GT5P... We´ve had leaderboards, a nice and working penalty system (for crashing other cars and corner cutting), PP points and hp limits and challenging races in GT5P... All this things are missing in GT5...
Really, after 2 months of playing I would give GT5 really an 7 or even an 6,5 out of 10... There is nothing to do in that game, A-Spec is worse, license tests are done and the best part in the game, the AMG driving school, is all golded already...
The game is only about making money and collecting cars... But there are no events to use all that cars... We´ve had ~50 events in GT5P and only ~122 events in GT5... What went wrong with this game? We really need an answer. It feels like they used 5 years to build the cars and 1/2 year to bash the rest of the game...
+1 👍
Mind you, it's an issue with Shift and other games, too. They spend all their time making a game, and no time investigating exploits. If I were in charge of PD, I'd task one employee to find ALL the exploits, whether track cutting, contact without consequence, even just things like the birthday glitch and duping, and then prioritize fixing them especially (before I get roasted!) the racing aspects. No doubt most of PD's crew are good drivers, clean(ish!) and honest to the spirit of the sport, but once the game gets into the hands of the general game playing community, well, some of those, their idea of playing the game is mostly to find AND USE every single exploit and unfair advantage they can. Then what THEY do gets seen by the rest of the community, and a large percentage of them start using the exploits, just to keep up...
Next thing you know, there isn't a chicane or corner that ISN'T being cut, if it can. And that, my friends, is NOT 'racing'. That's 'gaming', if you want to put a kinder, gentler description of what most of us would call 'cheating'.
Put horns on the guy, dress him in a red suit, but give him the job of MESSING the game up! If you know what the issues are, you can fix them. But, as the GT-Academy fiasco has shown PD don't even KNOW that some of their tracks can be cut without penalty. Between that one guy, and just racing around in random public lobbies would quickly show them what the most used exploits are.
FIX THEM!
"Some say he has never driven a chicane in his life, and that, if he can cut out a whole section without a drive-through, he'll do it every time... All we know is, he's called the Slug!"
