Those tuners do absolute magic in diesels. The gains can get ridiculous with the only sacrifice being emissions, but who doesn't like black smoke anyway.:D

Yeah, and you can get different maps so you can have economy and then switch over to power when you need it. I've heard that it can mess the injectors up though.

Well I'm no diesel expert but running too aggressive a tune by cranking up the boost will cause the injectors to not keep up with the demand, which is why injectors are always one of the first upgrades especially in engines that run boost, gas or diesel.

Hell yeah, VDC comes off whenever I'm doing donuts in the G.

It would be kinda dumb to turn it off for everyday driving.

What size and tires are you running on Sky? Seems a bit steep if you are toasting them semi often.

Michelin PS Cups 285/30-19 on all four wheels. Although the price may be steep, I got a great deal on them. I don't use the car much though. 2007 and she has about 10,000 miles on it. I really use it at the track with little street use.

19 inch wheels sound so massive  Would explain the price. And I was cringing at going from 205/50/15 to 245/40/17 :dunce:

I guess Mazda wasn't big on driving aids in 1991. I don't even have airbags!

I don't think they were even available in even half of the new-car-offerings until 2005 or so, let alone 20 years ago when (I think) Mercedes-Benz and BMW offered it on a few models.

Now, it's almost mandatory on all cars, but I think like keyless entry, fancier radios, trip computers, they've been integrated into cars to provide the same options as a would-be competitor's car.

They are a little big. I think I'm going to go for a meatier tire like a 17 so I don't hurt my back every time I drive the damn thing.
