Do you like how Qualifying has been implemented?

A lot of times (and I should say most times), in real life, you change the car, motor, etc. I have experienced this unfortunately. Dumb ass 'mechanic' started it without oil. boom, backup motor and starting last. fun. anything other than fuel or tires, you start in the back. Your Q.time does not matter at that point.

Oh, and yes the idiot got fired before the race.
 
I believe that when the game was launched in partnership with the FIA, we all had expectations of being a great game that would teach us how races work, well, now we know that this has not happened, let's lower our expectations, it's just another game for the masses, unify the fuel tank of the cars and not let us set up our cars before the races just proves it.
 
Anybody know why some of my qualifying times don't count and show up as red? It is not like I got a penalty or anything on the lap, just thought it was weird that some laps counted and some didn't.

You have to clear the penalty before finishing the lap, otherwise the next one will be invalidated as well.
 
@TotosaLoko, amen. It is a game not a simulation. The ways the cars react is pretty good. Racing, penalties, damage, i could go on, are ALL a joke at best. The whole bop thing is stupid. Make the car a big circle and dont make us wait 5 fricken years for a bunch of cars with different paint jobs.

If the person cannot compete and rams others, in real life he gets his ass kicked. In a video game just black flag the offender and remove them from the race. Black list them for a period of time. 30 mins time 1, rest of the day time 2. until psn store update time 3. Over 10 you are booted from online play. These do have to be obvious violations though. Have the rest of the field vote, post the replays and have a 'dont like' button maybe. There just really aren't reprocussions (sp?). Unless the penalty is on the last lap, you scrub it during braking anyway. Let that happen once, then it sticks, even if its accidental.

Sony, pd whatever you call yourself, you have had 25 YEARS and you came up with this?

I had the best experiences in a console playing project cars 2, not perfect, but much better than the GT Sport system, examples: the time penalty has to be fulfilled, otherwise the player will have to go through the boxes, unfairly reached positions as by path cut have to be returned, and most obviously, nothing ghost mode and cars without damage, this in the most competitive lobbies, trolls exist, but in more difficult game modes they do not appear as much, there is something similar in GT but I would like to see it implanted in Sport mode.
 
let me ask you this. i got pc1 I really hate when you steer it moves your vision. does pc2 do that? I do get it, but im a gamer and I play with a controller if its not i will buy it. i just dont awt=nt to spend 70 buxon a game that hits the shelf within a month.

you can go in the settings of the game and leave the camera fixed as in GT Sport and in most simulators, it is a good game!
 
Replace the warm up with a 1 lap superpole. All pilots start a flying lap 5 seconds after each other in matched grid order with all other competitors ghosted so slower cars will not completely ruin your lap.
Then this will be the race grid.
I think it would be pretty cool and mix things up a bit.
 
As things stand, Sony and PD are more likely to eliminate fuel consumption and tires from the game to make it easier for the kids to play.
 
@alfa i woulda said 10 secs., but im okay with 5. I could not tell you how many times I sat in the pits (real life) missing laps just so nobody was in my way. One or two clean laps is better than some jack off with more money than skills in your way. ie. one out lap get heat in tires and 1-2 flyers, do not ruin the car.

edit: they should just give a REAL penalty. Bounce these clowns. Cannot be hard.
