I voted no. The game is barely a challenge at all after you get the F1 cars :(

You know, you dont HAVE to use them if you dont want too...
I am sure you have a garage full of cars that would be better competition for the PC.

Personally, I love them. I let my friends drive f1 and I drive GT class cars, and the race is fun. so **** off

We'll done ///M325i you've ****ed Brian off:D

I agree 100% send those F1 cars packing as they've got no right to be in Gran Turismo. If you wanna drive those cars I suggest you go and play any number of F1 games out there at the moment. Ban those F1's!!

If they're gonna have lame-arse cars like the Mini in the game, then I want my F1's :D

Seriously though, the F1's do take away some of the game's challenge.

Hey!! I thought being a Pom you would be cheering the little Mini on. :D Try fulling modding the Mini it will give any F1 a run for it's money!!

huyster.....what really ****es me off is the UK version of GT3. The Japanese and yanks have 6!! (count em` 6) F1 cars compared to our miserable 2!! Ba$tards ripped us off. That's all the thanks the brits get for inventing bloody F1!!

Very true.
I don't understand why they did it - surely it must be easier just to use the American/Japanesse models in the PAL game.

One would beleive so!! Maybe they just wanted to **** a load of people off!! It's worked a treat for me:mad:

actually, i like the F1 cars. i have said no they shouldnt be in GT3 before. but when i finally raced and won one i liked it. its very rewarding to race 100+ laps and then win a bad-arse car!

Having spent countless hours on each of the instalments of the GT series, the series has always had the philosophy that it was totally up to you how you wanted to go racing.

GT1 had its 1050hp Skylines, GT2 had the Escudo, and GT3 has the F1's. If you're totally focussed on finishing the game, you can get the cars that will let you do it quickly and easily.

However, you can also get the great satisfaction of winning races in 'inferior' cars. I remember winning the GT Gold Championship in a race-spec Honda Prelude I'd built by slipping past the leading JGTC NSX on the last corner. Very satisfying.

Now that I've picked up an F1 car, I'll be using it to finish the game as quickly as possible.

Once I've finished the game, then I'll start seeing if I can win races in inferior cars.

This isn't like Tomb Raider, where once you finish the game you'll never touch it again.

I finished the original GT very quickly (compared to GT2!) but continued to play it for over a year after completing it, for precisely the reasons I mentioned above.
