As for the lap. Bought a brand new Aventador, put on RS's like the OP, no tuning, no aids etc > 6:29 first lap.

Also, this only makes my opinions stronger towards why RS tyres are bad, kill the characteristics of a car and take far less skill to be quick with them. Some of the handling felt downright comical. As I've said before, just mash the controls and it goes. Got a drift on? No matter, just keep the throttle mashed down and DO NOT countersteer into it, and it straightens up in an instant. Mega fail 👎 I don't know how people can defend these tyres.

That sucks that you beat my time by 20 seconds and some people drifts with racing soft with a yellowbird and cobras but four wheel drive is impossible to give it too much throttle because cars like the aventador understeers when you give it some gas at the beginning of the corner and you try to give it more gas and the only thing you get is grip.thats why its so hard to overstick it

Thats a test skill for drifters and not a time setter and drifter like me

Anyone managed a sub 7 minutes with the new N24 GTR Academy '12 ( stock- no tuning, no ABS and Sports Soft tires )

Just for fun, I just did a lap at Nordschleife with Cizeta V16T, bone stock, 574 hp, 544pp, 9xxx miles on the odo, no ABS, no other aids, Comfort Medium tires, 9/7 BB, time : 8:37.376, a few oversteer here and there, quite number of rather slow sections. I am guessing a better driver would have a low 8 minutes with the same set up. Also, tire wear/fuel consumption was on and grip : real.

Is it just me, now the sound from inside the car is much better, tires sounds more alive and when in replay, the Cizeta sounds more realistic from a far ( better doppler effect ) - much better than before 2.08 update.

Your post history is all about one circuit, it's only every about RS tyres, it's only about how great you are all the time (how you will "destroy anyone") in about 4 or 5 cars on this one circuit, and you insult someone several times for politely linking you to correct places.

YES, if you only race one circuit EVER, you will suffer at every other circuit as a result. An all round driver > one trick pony. I'm not calling myself that all round driver, but to be one is way more advantageous than being the one trick pony. No doubt you're still going to rant and disagree.

Being able to kart, drift, road cars on all tyres, tuner cars on all tyres, race cars on all tyres, rallying, drag racing > Nurb on RS tyres only with a minute range of vehicles.

You can keep calling it a game, but it is supposed to be a simulator, that's what it's called, it's in the slogan, and fitting slick tyres to a road car will not automatically allow it to pull 2.5G and more through a corner, ever. You need serious aerodynamics to be able to achieve that, and putting a simplistic wing on the back of a car is NOT going to achieve that, nor is fitting racing suspension.

You carry on playing GT5 your way, and I'll keep playing it my way. My point is that I enjoy playing a simulator within the realms of reality, whereas you want to break reality. To me, that's what arcade games are for. Anyway, I'm done arguing with you, as I'm suspecting you're impossible to reason with.

If I could interest you for a moment, would you like to try to beat my time as posted below, same car, track, no ABS or other aids, comfort medium tires, grip : real, tire wear/fuel consumption on. I am sure if you can handle RS tires and 600 PP+ cars, a stock Cizeta V16T would pose no issue. Faster than 8:37.xxx should be easy job, and I would love to know if you can do it

I don't know "Lewis_hamilton" on here, but I think you're giving him an unnecessary hard time..

ALOT of organised race series and websites outside of GTP view Racing Softs negatively. This is, in fact, very common.

I don't think he was expressing an opinion which was anything other than what alot of other guys think too, plus you are being just as hostile, if not more so than him..

The OP put a challenge down, LH responded and gave an opinion on the tyres - so what?

Pre 2.08 I used to hate RS tyres, they sucked. I'm not an elite driver, just an OK one...so what? We race Aventadors online with racing hards and they feel pretty well planted, we thought RH were overkill.

It's a 4wd car, having too much stability and grip at the rear will just hurt the car more than it will help the driver. Quite often it will spoil the natural charastericics of a 4wd car too.

In fact, alot of skilled rivers will race 4wds (stock) with a lower compound on the rear to make the car looser, I know guys who do this with FWDs too.. They say it gives a better feel and makes the driving more rewarding.

hey lewis, i only give you one track challenges because its the only one i race. i simply don't enjoy other tracks. i can race them, but i just don't enjoy them. i can drift kart or do whatever, i just don't don't enjoy anything as much so my need to master it isn't very strong. i never once said i could detroy anyone, in fact i never even mentioned what kind of time i could run.

GT5 is not a simulator. sorry. its a little more advanced then an arcade game, the reason they put simulator in the game was because it would appeal to the gamer looking for a more realistic experience. you can visit any "real simulator" thread for proof on that.

so, when i get on, i'm going to try the aventador. would you please just try one of my challenges? if you win, i will run away with my tail between my legs and give you a long sincere apology.

i will however still knock you for calling RS users not on par with your "skill" because its just completely false. there are probably another hundred shumachers or senna's living throughout the world, but just don't have the oppurtunity to get into real competitive racing, they do something else. hey man, maybe i don't enjoy racing cars on tires where its hard to find a good race online, so i choose the more common one, i'm doing something else. but the tires someone use really has NOTHING to do with skill. yet you keep saying it does, thats why i insult you. was that beyond reason?
