A few things im unclear on
1.Is the Driving Force Pro belt driven or gear driven?
2.Does anyone know when its coming out in the UK?(i dont want to get an american one as you guys have a different power voltage)
3.And is it durable?ie can i throw it around(not literally!)
without braking it?

I have been asking this question since it came out, and I haven't recieved a straight answer either. You don't need to take the wheel apart to find out. Just browse throught the reading material that came with the wheel. It should say if it's belt driven or gear driven. ;)

i use the mad catz 2...i havnt had any problems with it except just recently figuring out how to use the pressure sensative pedals...but for the money its a great wheel...its got all the basic features as the gt force pro...except maybe for the 900 degree turning...but other then that its a all around good wheel

Dude, It says nothing about internal parts! It has one small sheet w/english,ESPANOL,Francais All it basically says is to keep small children away from the wheel . Most info about the wheel is on the outside of the box and it says nothing about internal parts.

Hmmmm. I may just contact Logitech, since it seams to be difficult to find out any other way.;)

Okay this is how you tell if the gt Pro wheel is belt driven or gear driven

Turn the wheel slowly, does it feel as though its clicking into a notch(can you hear a clicking noise?)
if so, then it is gear driven

If you can turn it slowly whithout it clicking and feeling notchy, then it is belt driven.(if it is belt driven, it will turn smooly without clicking)

but since saying all this, i have just found out that it uses ball bearings instead of either belt or gear drive, but for the love of god, could someone with the wheel prove me right or wrong!!!!!!!!!:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
