It was never renewed for series inclusion past the PSOne games, likely because it stopped being relevant. The whole awkward naming issue probably didn't help matters, and while it held a unique position in GT1 (being both the only car in regular play without a racing modification* and the only car you couldn't buy at the dealerships), in the real world it was more of a curiosity in Chrysler's history than anything truly important.
Of course, back then, PD took a much different attitude towards including last-gen assets when it came time to work on GT3...
* - it technically had a race mod in GT1, the purple/yellow prize car with vastly increased horsepower and, depending on game region, hilariously light weight. GT2 added the wing and made it an "LM Edition".
