Alright guys, we gotta address this. Seems like I'm the only one out there that prefers the Vette over the Viper. I own both, and they are both pretty messed with. Just something about the corvette does it for me. Maybe it's the roar of that engine, or maybe it's the fact that that machine has got too much power than I know what to do with. Tell me what you think, all. Vette or Viper?
 
Ok here is a more thought out one......

I choose the Viper becuae it looks cooler,sounds better, has a WAY cooler name and is most preferred upon drivers. (you dont see many Vipers around cause they cost a bunch)
 
Jesus man, can you give me a solid reason, like speed, handling, etc? The looks and "preferred by other drivers" statement means nothing. When the Viper came out, A/C wasn't even an option. I don't know one driver that prefers the Viper over the Vette in RL. But I'm talking about the game here. Even if your car looks better, and mine is faster, I take the cash, and you can sit there and look good. Too bad for you, there isn't a 'show car' competetion in the game.
 
The car looks absolutely frightening, has a monster 8 litre engine burbling away, which has the ability to frighten children the next city over when it starts to get a little loud at the top end.
Oh and it has those stripes, no matter how many cars take off those stripes they will always look their best on the original car!
Oh yeah, its also an exclusive car, and hence is part of the Dream Car category.

I would choose the Viper because it sounds way better #1. Also....It can enter more races. Again....It handles better and accelerates better. What do youy mean you dont know of anyone who will chose a Viper over a Vette? Dude I bet if you asked 20 people which one they would choose, i bet at LEAST 12 would say Viper at LEAST!

Actually, I would guess that it would be more like 19/20
Vipers have an air of elitism to them. You dont see them around, and nobody really knows how much they cost (I have heard guesses up to 150,000 real price $66,000) but this is irrelevant to the game.

In the game, the viper has a bunch more power, and gets off the line quicker. The vette however can out handle the viper any old day of the week. They are very simmilar cars other than that.
 
i have more fun with the viper, thats why i use it. i race without any of the "technology" you know like the driver assisting tools. so the vette is way easier to handle then the viper when they are both tuned to full. It takes a lot of skill to drive the viper with 1000+ horsepower and stay on the road with no assistance from the car.
 
Viperconcept, first of all, I'm not mad. I don't really care enough to get mad. I just wanted to know some reasons. These guys here have given good reasons. And finally, alright, you got a car with no power seats, A/C being a rare thing, and a radio in a Viper being unheard of. The Viper is nice, but it's designed for racing. The full potential can only be unleashed on a track. The Vette provides, style, leather, sound (as in stereo, i remember the engine sound being "cooler" as a remark) and it actually has comfort features in place of the monster engine. It depends on who you ask. If you ask little children, they say the Viper all the way. If you ask people from ages 20 and up that have slight knowledge of cars, all respect the Viper, but would prefer the Vette. And to the other guy, what is this crap about the stripes being 'original' on the Viper? Cars have been having stripes on them since the early 60s. Oh, I forgot. They weren't real stripes until Dodge put them on their cars, right?

I prefer the Vette in the game, but in the real world I'd go for the Viper. Too many Vettes around, I rarely see a viper.

But Nico is right. MOST people that can afford either car are probabally older, and thus have different tastes. They say 70's stingrays driving down the streets new and thought, someday, I'm gonna have one of those. For you young pups, you saw vipers 11 years ago and thought, Someday, I'm gonna have one of those. I wouldnt be a bit suprised if in 30 years vipers outsell vettes, but for now, the vettes have it.
 
Viperconcept, my R1 can go 0-100 MPH in around 5 seconds. Can a Viper do that? STFD and STFU unless you know what you're talking about. Bikes are a different world than cars, buddy.
 
jeez viper and nico, take it easy on each other....remember that itz just a game....

personally, i have the vipers in the game!!!

i drag raced a Calsonic Skyline against a Team Oreca Viper and my skyline smoked it!!!!!! tried it against the C5R vette and it did the same thing....

moral of the story it.....go with the Japanese cars!!!
 
Skyline's are nice cars. As soon as I make my way over to Japan, I can get one for around $15k and have it shipped back to the states for no charge. Gonna be fun driving that thing around.
 
i would like your skyline beat my Viper in GT3 in a drag race, not in a corner to corner race because you would really have the advantage there, but my Viper is so bad-ass, i love it :)
 
You know, just out of curiousity, I'd really like to know what age the majority of the people who swear by the viper are. Think I might start a poll.
