I got a major thing for silver 5 spoke wheels, where the spokes are slim.

Plus, isn't it compulsory to race Alfa Romeos on those OZ racing wheels where the brake disc is covered? :D

Usually I like something with a lot of spokes. My Benz has some chrome with a lot of spokes. Wow. Looks hot.

Oh yeah!
I always have wheels with as few spokes as possible so that I can see the disc brakes glow during the replays :D

Mate - I hope you're not talking about thos hideous BBS bike wheels!!!

i usually get a couple i like and stick with them the whole game... This way all my cars have the same wheels... kinda like a trademark. :D

I love buying new wheels! I really buy all the black wheels with the blue and red outlines! The Gold BBS's are awesome!

Yes, I almost always buy new wheels whenever I get a new car. It's amazing how they can really change the look of the whole thing!

Once I got really bored and bought every set.

GASPS.....such...slander.....can't.....breathe!

I only buy new wheels if the OEM wheels are exceedingly ugly. And those BBS "bike wheels" are my favorite. :p

Yep, so did I.

The Merc CL600 looks cool with these fat, triangular-spoked wheels. They're gold, five spoke, I think Speedline.
I've also got a gold BMW with gold wheels!:D

Sorry dude, but those wheels were exceedingly popular here 10-15 years ago and can still be seen bolted to ill-handling Holden Toranas, early 80's Commodores Kingswood utes, Cortinas, Escorts and Falcons.

If you're not Australian - this is NOT a positive association.

k.

Oh yeah, the wheels feature is one of my favourites in the game! Nothing like putting white wheels on a red car, or having an FTO on those Advan Super 3 Spoke alloys (btw, how can an FTO be the only car able to wear three spokes and actually look good doing it????), it makes the car yours, your own individual touch, although I would like to say I think you should be able to specify a size as well. Say put 20s on the Skyline for a little extra grip, or 16s on the Impreza Rally Car.

Whoa. I was expecting that response. I thought barely any1 would by new wheels-- ever.

Maybe I should check them out . . .

Well - let me clarify (on re-reading my post it probably came out a bit nastier than I intended).

I just find the BBS designs are a bit old fashioned - they've been running a similar design for around 20 years now and modern wheel fashion has moved on.

A classic example in Australia is the Subaru Liberty (Legacy) B4.

The RX model runs those lovely 16 inch slotted 5 spoke wheels - nice clean design, look very good. Suits the car quite well (same wheels as the WRX).

They then released the B4 which has these 17 inch BBS spoked wheels - which next to the RX wheels look awful - they're dark, don't suit the car, and just look like someone got an RX and put some poorly chosen aftermarket wheels on it.

Just my 2c...

Don't sweat it, vat. I don't take any of this *that* seriously. i don't think most people would.

That's cool - that's the problem with the 'net and e-mail - no 'inflection'!

I think later in the game GT3 (like the prequels) becomes more about cars and less about money. It is after all only 500 credits per set.

It is a purely aesthetic thing - guess you're just a 'function over form' kinda dude, Viperconcept!

:burnout:

Note - no hidden meaning to smiley - I just like that one

I've got more virtual dough than I know what to do with so might as well fritter it away on wheels :D
