I've heard of a hatchback that could compete with supercars I've completely forgotten the name does anybody know what I'm talking about? I think it was something "Turbo" im not sure.

RS6 Avant? There's a lot of hight powered wagons/hatches that could keep up with the supercars.

The Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally car? The Peugeot 205 T16 Evolution 2 Rally car is a monster too, but you have to make sure it's the Evo 2 and not the regular Rally car.

As for street cars, the Audi RS4, RS6 V8 and V10, the Renault Clio V6, VW HPA Golf R32 Stage II(if it's still in the game), VW Scirocco, Golf R, BMW Z3 M Coupe and Z4 M Coupe are some examples of really fast cars that lack a regular "C" body section.

The only thing i can think of is a test on Top Gear, they put a Mitsubishi Evo 8 (I know its not a hatchback) against a Murchielago i think it was. Could this be it?

There are also many videos of it competing with Corvettes and Gallardos

So, I can probably guess it is the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 '85. Though you do need a lot of pump from it to get it to beat supercars.
