Great match,
Samoa Joe wins with a choke hold submission on Balor

hopefully it won't be a smash match because joe was in TNA but if it's like how AJ won his title hopefully they'll have a good match.

So Extreme Rules, I enjoyed it, some good solid matches, thought Ambrose/Miz was a great opener, they have fantastic chemistry and I always look forward to seeing them compete against each other, no surprise to me the Miz won, the Steel cage match was good too, Cesaro/Sheamus needed the titles to justify the heel turn so that's ok with me, the one match I didn't like was the Women's title match which to me was a bit of a car wreck, Bayley just got destroyed during that match and has lost a lot of creditability for me, all to enhance Alexa just a little bit, plus when Bayley was on NXT she sometimes threw people into barricades and hit people with chairs, so to say that she is scared of using a stick is stupid, the Crusierweight match was to me the best match I have seen from the division since the reboot, excellent stuff.

Then the main event, which was brilliant!, well executed, everyone had moments to shine, the last ten minutes were a highlight with the double spear into the barricade followed by the frogsplash into the table, and then Joe came out of nowhere to win the match

Brock Lesnar v Samoa Joe in five weeks!!

Kurt Angle really does make Raw worth watching at times.

A few things.

Firstly I enjoyed Raw, the two big matches were really good and the obvious highlight was Samoa Joe attacking Heyman which starts the build for the Joe/Lesnar match off nicely. The viewership was better than last weeks too, last weeks Raw had its second worst rating in the shows history...

SD Live tonight has Owens v Nakamura, yes please! :dopey:

Lastly, NXT are currently on a UK arena tour, they where scheduled to have an event at the Manchester Arena but cancelled it after the terrorist attack there a couple of weeks ago, today NXT stars were visiting 8-year-old Lily Harrison in a Manchester hospital, she was caught up in the attack and suffered shrapnel wounds, she is a big WWE fan. Booby Roode, Nikki Cross and Mark Andrews paid her a visit and gave her some signed merchandise, Sasha Banks also face-timed her from the US, I love it when the WWE does stuff like that. 👍

Lana has finally debuted, which hopefully means Rusev will finally show up tonight as well.

Raw will open with the Lesnar/Heyman segment tonight.

Why do I have a gut feeling that we just saw the peak of the Lesnar/Joe feud?

Edit: Can they please let Bayley have a little attitude?

Apparently the kick Somoa Joe put on Brock Lesnar actually connected and that's why Lesnar went full force on Joe back. I'm not saying he did it on purpose it probably was an accident and Lesnar was just upset but hopefully this doesn't lead to some real backstage grudge that carries over.

Didn't think much of Raw, the Joe/Lesnar brawl was good but I think they should have saved that for the week before the match, the tag title match was good too even with the crap finish, The Miz/bear/Ambrose bit was strangely quite funny.

Have you guys heard of this Bray Wyatt/Jojo thing??

This is something that has bugged me since I started watching WWE again. It seems like they have no clue at all how to build up matches anymore.

Just going off current storylines:

- The men's MITB match was announced in full the Tuesday after Backlash, meaning we've been getting pointless matches involving those 6 guys every week. I think it would have been much more interesting had they announced that the wrestlers in the match had to accomplish something first than announced the final participants this past Smackdown. It's sad that the Women's match has had a better build up and the entire roster apart from Lana and Naomi are in it!

- This whole Enzo & Cass thing could have been good, but it's to the point now where I just want it to be over.

- As you mentioned the Joe/Lesnar brawl was much more fitting for a final confrontation before the actual match.

- Than there is the Golddust/R-Truth feud. This should have been over the week after the heel turn.

OK then a lot to get through regarding tonight, but first here is the card for tonight's Money In The Bank.

Kick-off Show
The Hype Bros v The Colons (Primo & Epico)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Smackdown Women's Championship
Naomi (c) v Lana

Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) v The New Day

Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Charlotte, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Tamina & Carmella

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler

WWE Championship
Jinder Mahal (c) v Randy Orton

Quite a small card but they could easily throw another match together.

One of the biggest talking points this week has been the Women's MITB match, and the possibility of a sixth competitor in that match, now all the currents SD Women are already in action tonight so the other person has to come from elsewhere and there has been some speculaation as to whom it might be, Paige hinted that she is making her long awaited comeback soon, then there was talk about it being Nikki Bella but that has since been ruled out, but now it turns out that Maria and Mike Bennett have been spotted in St Louis, so that should answer that question.

Baron Corbin is the current favourite to win the Men's MITB, and has been since SD last Tuesday. I think you can make a case for any of them to win it.

Its also been wildly speculated that Mahal will retain the title tonight, it will give him more heat and make him a bit more plausible as champ if he does as its in Randy's home town and his father will be there.

No idea what happened with the fonts here :indiff:

MiTB seems considerably harder to predict than Extreme Rules which is rather nice. I'm hoping the smaller card will mean each match gets time to develop.

Kick-off Show
The Hype Bros v The Colons (Primo & Epico)

- Hype Bros. Surely there has to be some point to Mojo winning the Andre the Giant trophy. My guess is they were waiting for Ryder to return and will give the pair a tag team boost.

Smackdown Women's Championship
Naomi (c) v Lana

- I think someone at WWE jokingly proposed this match and creative went with it in a "If you think Jinder's push was sudden, watch this!" type of thing. I'm curious to see how it unfolds though, granted I can't see Naomi loosing.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) v The New Day

- New Day, as much as it pains me.

Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Charlotte, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Tamina & Carmella

- Either Carmella or Charlotte as they've both been getting pushes. My preference would be Carmella.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler

- Shinsuke climbed the ladder on Smackdown so I don't think it will be him. I'm hoping for Baron.

WWE Championship
Jinder Mahal (c) v Randy Orton

- Jinder. I don't think WWE is done with the gimmick yet and it seems like Jinder holding the title would be a good opportunity to bring in Rusev since the Mahal/Orton feud will be over.

I'm off work this week meaning I can and will stay up to watch this. 👍:D

With a mysterious sixth competitor and the Maria/Mike Bennett story, I sense the bets for the Women's MITB match should go there. Lana getting a title match has its funny value, but I doubt she'll win right away. I would love for Nakamura to grab the Men's MITB contract, but Baron's push over the last few Smackdown tapings kinda take the wind off my sails for that dream. But what about Ziggler and Zayn? They seem to be the real dark horses of this match, especially Sami... Maybe he finally gets a push, and not the kind Brawn Strowman gave him in their last match.

...And WWE just killed the great momentum the women's division had. It was a great match before Ellsworth interfered. :banghead:

Well, thanks Ellsworth... Capiche??

It's like the WWE wants to lose viewers at an even faster rate. Both matches have now had terrible endings. :odd:

I can fondly remember the event that led me to stop watching the first time, it was Vince's limo blowing up. I have a feeling tonight may end up being the event that triggers me to stop watching once again.

Carmella wants to cashing it now!!

Rumors are true, Maria is back! :D In a cringy way lol

For the most part this PPV has been rather bad, but the main MITB match has been fantastic!

That almost redeemed the rest of the show... almost.
