I guess that you and @Com Fox wont be buying that!

JD McDonagh says he will be out for a few months with broken ribs, he suffered the injury when he took a hard nasty landing during his tag match with Dom and the War Raiders last night, he hit a moon-sault from the ropes on to Ivar on the outside but landed badly when the back of his neck and head hit the announce table, both he and Dom were able to finish the match though with War Raiders retaining the tag titles.

Not unless there is a what if ending where you get to play as Drew McIntyre and attack every bloodline member ending with destroying the Ula Fala

First inductee into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class appears to be Triple H (as a solo act, already in with DX)

[MUSC4EVER]

Yeah it does look like he is going to headline this years class.

I think its deserved.

[Com Fox]

All we need is some custom OC to protest the idea of a booker being put in the Hall of Fame and we'll have the Smackdown vs Raw 2008 storyline in real life

Happy for HHH. I first started watching wrestling with his brief stint of Smackdown in 2008.

[Fezzik]

As a WCW kid growing up (because that’s what we had on TV) my first proper experience of WWF was the 2000 Rumble. HHH vs Cactus Jack in a brutal street fight.

I’ve been a big fan of both (and Stephanie ) ever since, so happy Paul is getting his solo spot in the HoF - thought he was already in, to be honest.

[MUSC4EVER]

So the Royal Rumble is tomorrow night, have you guys got any predictions for the winners or for surprise entrants?

[Darla Starch]

Men's Rumble:

• Punk or Cena
• Punk or Penta to get the ironman run
• Gangrel or Mr Kennedy (...Kennedy) cameo

Women's Rumble:

• Charlotte's been out of the title scene entirely too long due to injury. Would much rather have someone entirely else...I dunno...Iyo Sky
• Naomi to get the ironwoman run
• If WWE can somehow swing it under everyone's noses, then get Mayu Iwatani to show up for a one-off reunion with Iyo Sky. Jordynne Grace is apparently busy that day, but maybe a smokescreen.

Someone is definitely throwing/screwing Roman that’s what I hope for.

Predictions:

LOLCharlotteWins, honestly will laugh if it does happen

Don't really have any predictions for the Mens but I don't really think who is winning will be exciting given the options are Cody Rhodes (who is still struggling to find a good opponent after constantly being fed damaged Bloodline goods) or Gunther, even worse if Roman wins so haven't really thought about it that much. I mean they could use the Elimination Chamber to shake up Wrestlemania with some curveballs and new Champions but WWE hasn't done that since 2017 (and hasn't been done since 2010 after that) and will just be a curtosy worth skipping...

...should cut myself off before I rant again about how much current WWE has ruined my favourite match type and shouldnt be between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania

[MUSC4EVER]

Here is the card for the Royal Rumble event in Indianapolis.

Women's Royal Rumble Match.
Confirmed Participants:
Nia Jax, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Liv Morgan, Lyra Valkryia, Ivy Nile, IYO Sky, Chelsea Green, Zelina Vega, Candice La Rae & Piper Niven.

WWE Tag Team Championship-Two Out Of Three Falls Match.
DIY (c) v Motor City Machine Guns

Undisputed WWE Championship-Ladder Match.
Cody Rhodes (c) v Kevin Owens

Men's Royal Rumble Match.
Confirmed Participants:
John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Logan Paul, Penta, Chad Gable, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Damien Priest, Santos Escobar & Jacob Fatu.

The match order is only my prediction, I think they had the women's Rumble match as the main event last year so maybe its the men's turn this year.

As for my predictions, I think it will be Punk winning the men's Rumble and he will go on too face Gunther for the world title and beat him at Mania, Cena has been advertised for the Elimination Chamber so I think he will win the Chamber match and face Rhodes for the WWE title and win at Mania, Charlotte winning the women's Rumble seems so obvious but I can't look past her, I think she will challenge Tiffany and win at Mania, I think Rhea Ripley's Mania opponent will be Bianca Belair.

Smackdown was nothing to shout about last night, main event was Damien Priest and LA Knight beating Tonga and Fatu with Priest taking the win in the middle of the ring, he got attacked by Fatu after

[Darla Starch]

Numbered Manias again 😍

[MUSC4EVER]

Women's Rumble match will start the show, which start in around 10 minutes!

[Darla Starch]

😳

[Northstar]

Really digging the ticker, always wondered why they haven't done something like that sooner.

Alexa Bliss finally returns!

Spoiler

[Northstar]

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

[Com Fox]

Honestly, the Rumble Match completely died when it became the Bloodline circle jerk again

BUT, I am ok with the winner probably the best possible option

[Darla Starch]

Spoiler

The madlads did it, Jey Uso is a Rumble winner

[MUSC4EVER]

Did not expect that winner at all!!!

[Com Fox]

Might be a take so hot youll accuse me of trolling but the Tag Team Title match was the best match of the night and the Ladder match was the worst.

It isn't amazing by any means but in such a pull of constant predictable title matches to set up long reigns for hype matchups which makes me wonder whats the point of the B level PLE, I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to watch a title match that potentially go both ways and have me convinced the guys who lost couldve won and not feel cheated when they did lose and I love the MCMG

And I absolutely hated the Ladder match, why is this match just to build up Cody as a strong champion and nothing else? Beating Kevin Owens clean means nothing, Kevin Owens spent to past 5 years jobbing. Not saying Kevin Owens should have won (but I wouldve liked it) but I though at the very least this match would set up future storylines despite the predictable formality of it all but nothing was set up, if just ended. This isn't even a criticism of Cody Rhodes, Smackdown just hasn't had anyone for as he is limited to the Bloodline, Damaged Goods from the Bloodline, or Heels that got no screentime. If Kevin Owens actually won matches in the past 5 years (and I dont count the tag matches with Sami) then this wouldve been much easier to swallow but it's just burial after burial after burial and I hate being right that Kevin Owens turning heel was going to do nothing for him but dang even with my low expectations. I'm still disappointed.

YEET

[MUSC4EVER]

So going into the men's Rumble match CM Punk was the bookies favorite, quite overwhelmingly so!

Having Jey win was a big surprise to many including myself, the reaction has been quite divisive but also quite positive, this is a guy who is incredibly over, yes its mostly because of a one word chant but who cares?! The reaction in the stadium sounded amazing and its a guy they want to see, I think he'll go for Cody as he has already fought Gunther three times and lost, most recently just last week!

I enjoyed both Rumble matches and the show in general, Punk eliminated both Rollins and Reigns and Rollins went nuts after so Mania could be fun for the three of them! Its been reported that Drew was not happy with how his elimination went and apparently it wasn't according to plan, he was angry after and was cursing as he stormed off backstage, it could be work though! IShowSpeed took a brutal looking spear from Bron Breakker and Joe Hendry made a great appearance.

As for the women's Rumble, well yeah it was lol Charlotte wins but it still had some great moments. Trish Stratus showing up and Jordynne Grace had a great showing, all the NXT ladies were great I thought and shout out to Roxanne Perez who lasted over an hour, Alexa Bliss returning got a fantastic pop. I stand by my prediction that Charlotte will challenge Tiffany and it will be Rhea v Bianca for the other women's title.

I thought the two title matches were good but not great, the ladder match looked brutal with some nasty looking spots but it was no surprise to me that Cody retained. The tag title match was the shortest two out of three falls match you may ever see, DIY retained but only because The Street Profits returned to help them, they then took out both DIY and MCMG after.

I really enjoyed the show overall and I had a good night. 👍

[girabyt3]

Yep... This was a nice book, Triple H...

Haven't watched a Royal Rumble in a while, hell, better say all WWE for all the stupid booking they have been doing... Decided to watch again due to being the first WWE PPV without Vince (you know why) and since Netflix now has the streaming rights... Just to see Charlotte return to win (AGAIN) and to see John Cena being disrespected at the end... Yep... Nice booking, Triple H...

[Fezzik]

Happy that Uso is getting a shot rather than the boring usual suspects. I think it’s going to be Jey vs Gunther again, because somebody has to fight the Ring General. Those 2 at least have something of a story.

There’s a lot of better matches for Rhodes, especially if he turns and goes full Homelander.

[MUSC4EVER]

The rumble winners had a nice balance if you think about it, as we had one obvious winner and one not so obvious.

One thing I liked about the presentation last night was the info ticker we got a the bottom of the screen for both rumbles, it told you things like what wrestlers were entering, how long they were in the match for, how many eliminations there had been etc. That was a nice feature and WWE need to do that again.

There were a quite a few wrestlers who we didn't see last night including:

Becky Lynch
Kairi Sane
AJ Lee
Omos
New Day (both of them)
WYATT SICKS (all of them)
Matt Cardona
Trick Williams
Oba Femi

In fact the men's Rumble was quite light on NXT stars but the women's had a few of them.

[Darla Starch]

Another storyline payoff that worked out wonderfully.

Context: Koguma (in blue) has been trying for months to get Ranna Yagami (in red) to join in on her match-starting kuma party routine

Syuri, the leader of Ranna's stable God's Eye and having come into wrestling through the now-defunct HUSTLE promotion which placed a heavy emphasis on comedy, has a vehement dislike for these shenanigans.

Stardom would run a match between Ranna and Koguma during their most recent Korakuen Hall show (which due to timezones, was both on the 2nd and running at the same time as the Royal Rumble) where either Ranna had to do the kuma or Koguma would be forced to stop pestering God's Eye about it.

[Com Fox]

People complaining Rhodes celebrating near a bodied Kevin Owens as being heelish or thinking that it hinted a heel turn would not have survived WWE in 2010 with John Cena using duct tape to win a Last Man Standing match and defended it as "creative" and Edge kidnapping Kanes father and torturing him as a babyface

[MUSC4EVER]

Alexa Bliss has signed a new multi year deal with WWE and will be on the Raw brand going forward, she returned at the Royal Rumble this Saturday which was one of the highlights of the show having been absent on maternity leave for nearly two years.

Not too much has been announced for Raw tonight just yet, just that Charlotte will be there and there will be Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, but we don't know what's at stake in those Chamber matches yet.

Speaking of Charlotte, its been announced that both she and Andrade are now divorced, they were together for six years and got married in 2022.

Last night after watching the Pro Bowl with my two youngest children we were looking for something to watch and we stumbled across the Royal Rumble on Peacock. So we started watching that. We haven't finished the Women's Royal Rumble yet but we laughed so hard at some of the spots. My daughter kept asking why did some hits look fake and I told it was because they are fake. For some odd reason she likes to cheer for the villains (some of them anyway) so was upset when Piper Niven got knocked out and she currently wants Nia Jax to win. I told her Charlotte Flair will probably win and she asked why and I said it because they want her to be champion again. This was the 1st time I had watched wrestling in about 15-20 years. The crazy thing is the names have changed but everything pretty plays out the same one way or the other. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing the rest of this with them
