Not sure if serious...

Seriously; no - paints have no effects on cars - stripes do (reference to Ford GT...) :sly:

I remember reading somewhere today that chrome makes you a few mini seconds faster, is that true?

Get a stock GTR. Run it in auto with a full throttle launch. Then repeat with a shiny version 👍

LOL I heard that from honda_ryderz way back when. Pink rims help too. LOL

Made no difference when I chromed my samba bus

As opposed to Firefox, internet explorer? Suppose it depends on what you're searching for and which search engine you use.

Apparently it made my cousin's chrome Veyron run 8.4s but that's just me, how absurd

Phhht, Netscape navigator 1.0 is where it's at :). Oldschool

I don't use search engines, I used old skewl dashboards phoned 3/4 of a foot long and call the operator if I have questions XD

It only makes it more aerodynamic. This has the side-effect of creating less downforce though.
Combined with the anti-gravity characteristics of chrome paint the car will need less power to accelerate.
The car will also remain cooler because the chrome reflects outside heat. Less cooling needed = more power left for accelerating.

Hope that's enough fictitious information to help you on your way.

Well played sir :sly:

So it doesnt get more horsepower thats all i wanted to know.

No you gain nothing from chrome paint except a blindingly bright car that matches rims.

I apologize for the trolling from others.

It does not make a difference at all. 👍

LOL Chances are that the owner tweaks its tune more towards his level of perfection then the same type car he/she owns that may be colored say, Green.

The famous Wesley Snipes line from the movie ***** Men can't jump immediately comes to mind: "It's soPretty" LOL.

He typed it wrong or simply prefered stars over white.

Yeah, I frequent another forum where swearing is tolerated but for some reason the word "suck" is auto-censored into stars, even referring to talk about intakes and air cleaners.

Oh many words get automatically censored here on GTP. But only the really offensive ones.
Swearwords and co......
