I think its @140 cars in Shift2 and @65 in Shift1 . Some of the ones in Shift 2 seem sort of like duplicates like the three GT-Rs but there are definitely more.

No it doesnt... all cars present in the first game are also in the second... at least for the PS3 and PC versions... and there will probably be a DLC for the Xbox with the ferraris.
