Does shortcuting DQ you from a "clean race" or just hitting things

I believe the OP is talking about single player. He mentioned it shaved off time, but in Sport Mode cutting those chicanes would give you 20 years of penalties.

I think cutting corners takes away your clean race bonus offline as well.

Cutting the last chicanes at LeMans should be a last ditch effort to rescue a race in single player. If you only learn where to cut corners you never learn how to take the actual corner properly and it will come back to bite you in Sport mode.

As well it should - why on earth would you cut the chicanes? If you do that you in a sport mode race you should be perma-banned

Single player Cobra VS Ferrari in the 1979 race specifically. Even if you don't need the extra time to win if you're grinding for credits you may as well complete the race as fast as possible.

If you would rather just earn some credits, you may as well just set up a single race and rubber band it on northern isle... Leave the console on whilst you're out and you can get 20 mil credits in a couple of days.

I honestly don't see the point in grinding a single event over and over... Mind-numbing and ridiculous to me.

PS - this is a criticism of PD as much as the people who insist on re-doing the same event endlessly

I'm sure I'd mess it up and that would piss me off even more.

You can get the clean race bonus at LeMans '79 cutting the last chicane , i did it weeks ago , unless they fixed it with the last patch.
