All published GT strategy guides are extremely useful if you want to swat a bug or fan yourself. After that, pretty much zip.

You can find better (and cheaper) strategy guides online. Try Der Alta's page.

Lol......You actually bought a strategy guide...for a RACING game.....Lol..Does it give you tips as to how to turn?...Or possibly gives you more indepth knowledge about pressing the gas.....

What he said. :D

The one on my page isn't bad - if a little short. I'm considering starting yet another game though :D

I would say any strategy guides are useless if you only have an internet connection, since you can find a guide or cheats for any game with the help of internet.

They're only good for pictures...

only use it to find a car that im after at the time, and for throwing across the room (hey its cheaper than throwing a DS2) ;)

welcome to my forum d00d!!!

and dont bother with the strategy guide.... just work it out for yourself, it aint hard :)

Most strategy guides are like that. The publishers want the guide to hit the shelves at the same time as the game, so they work with an early version of the game. Oftentimes stuff in the game gets taken out/changed/fixed, rendering the guide rather inaccurate before it's even printed.

A perfect example of that is the BradyGames GTA:VC guide, it's blatantly wrong in so many places that it's laughable, and it's got pictures from at least three different versions of the game!

Errors aside, the problem with these strategy guides is that they put too much emphasis on completing the game and none on proper driving techniques. The result: people who finished the game who think they're badass because they can beat a Mini Cooper with an F-1.

That reminds me of the demo in the Replay Theater that shows the Mini getting a head start on Grand Valley Speedway and the F1 sits there until the Cooper gets way ahead. The F1 car wins, but barely!
