I'm getting a T150 and probably a th8a too. Does it have a universal shifter knob threading or do I need to rig one up/buy one?

Nope. Universal is usually 10mm,and th8 has 9mm. Aftermarket knobs usually have adaptors, for 10,12 and 14mm,but there are some with 9mm if you search a bit. Of course if you machine a lever yourself do it 10mm.the other side is 6mm threaded, the one that goes into the shifter.

Yeah I'll probably just make one that if I can't find one.
Thanks for taking the time to help me dude/ette.

You could also just get one of those 'universal' knobs, which have a rubber/plastic cap that goes over the end and a thing that goes onto the shaft that the knob screws onto.

I have one that's basically like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Honda-A...ash=item4882979936:g:05UAAOSwT4lWRAh7&vxp=mtr

I just put the screw thing on, crammed the 8mm one onto the th8rs, screwed the knob onto the thing then did up the screws on the side of the screw thing to tighten it to the shaft. Granted, its not as good as a direct screw on one, but it seems fairly secure and has been connected to mine for quite a while (years) without an issue.

I found a knockoff $15 ralliart knob with a 9mm so I'm gonna buy that then get whatever other I want.

What Joven says is optimal though. M9 shaft means 9mm external diameter of thread. So a plastic 8mm diameter cap screws correctly in place. If you use a 9mm that means it wont screw, just sit with no play.
