I'm on '2mbps' ADSL broadband. So it's near enough for my liking.

I just got my results from speedtest, I'm almost on par with Jordan, 4954 Download, and only 350 upload (I'm just running Opera and WMP right now.) Sever locale: NYC, ~200 mi.

Nope It averages out to be about the same after a few tests...

Does that mean I could host a decent website? I'd imagine hosting a site (like this one) would require a pretty fast connection??

That's in kilobits, not bytes.

Mine says like 2500+ kilobits, but only like 3xx KiloBYTES.

It's the distance to the server you chose to resond to. It's good to see what response time I have 3,500 miles away in America. New York is marginally slower than to London.

My response time is pretty bad.
