Got one? Wish you had one? Love 'em? Hate 'em? And of course, let's see 'em!

I'm at work so I'll have to post a pic tonight.

We have two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels.

Cute as hell, useless as hell too.

I'll take pictures of them some time...

Did anyone happen to watch the AKC Eukanuba Invitiational on Animal Planet a couple weeks back? It was pretty cool. So many exotic dogs. Probably the only place you'll ever see a "King Charles Cavalier Spaniel" outside the Netherlands :p

Hmmm...

I've got a rather large German Shepard called Canyon. I'll post her picture in just a bit.

Here we go. This face is code for, 'Get away from me, Doug. Where's that girlfriend of yours? She plays with me.'

To which I retort with, 'Yeah, but I feed you! Ha!'

I love dogs, but hate to walk puppies in the winter. If I could have any type of dog, it'd have to be either a Basset Hound or a German Shephard, but that'll have to wait until I get in and out of college...(6 years...:()

Both my dogs are mongrels (the best kind, in my opinion)...your guess is as good as mine when it comes to figuring out what might have created them.

I've got 2 dogs. Sadie - shelty mix, and Honey - mix mix mix(I donno what she is).

Honey had some trauma at a young age before we adopted her, so she growls and gets really mad at stuff. Sadie is nuratic(sp?), she is scared of my dad, and uses me as a shield. If I'm on the couch and my dad comes around and lays on the floor, Sadie will jump up and lay next to me. She's my pal really. She follows me around, plays with me, barks at me, and all that. She hates/likes cirtain words, like "Squirrel", "Squirrely" and "doggy", and especially hates when you point at a window or wall and say "I see a (one of the other words she hates or likes)!!" and she will bark forever. Other times, you can get her to talk by saying her words slowly and quietly, then she gets worried and will go "hmmmmm hhmmmmm" like a cry almost.
Both of them have one problem in perticular...they like eating thier feces. ;) Honey did it first, Sadie must have looked at her and thought "hmmm I'll try that", and they take a crap and eat it, though usually they don't eat freshly laid turds. We've tried everything, pills to make them stop, spicy stuff dripped on the turds, all that. The only thing that works is if you get them in as soon as they are done crapping or peeing, which is hard to do in the winter because you have to stand out there and usually throw twigs at them before they come in. They also try to run away any time the gate is open, if they do, it's a problem.
Sadie doesn't go far, she knows better from the time that she ran off shortly after we got her. Gone for 2 days, hit by a car(just tagged, no damage to dog or car), and through a forest to a dog lover's house, though the owner lived near a dog hater, so it coulda been really bad. Less then a mile away, but still got us nervous.
Honey...well she will run us around the block for an hr before we can get her to come back. If we try to catch her physically, she will run more, so we have tp get her back with the thing of treats and luck. Since we totally fenced in our back porch, as long as the gate is closed, they won't go anywhere.

Dogs are great. Sometimes I wish we had picked out smarter dogs, but Honey and Sadie have charactor, and overall, they are great.

Ha ha... I thought you misspelled fences at first. That's gross! But I've heard of it before. My dog from when I was growing up used to eat dirty diapers.

yea. The vet says that in Feces there's high amounts of vitamines that the dogs like.

Though, atleast they are recycling and cleaning up the yard...

Dogs actually have anatural tendency to eat feces. But if you feed them regularly, and give them decent food in a continual location, they usually don't show any interest in the stuff. I've always steered them clear of other dogs' messes, so it's never been a problem. Give them a good yank on the chain when walking them, and they lose interest.

Milo has been passed around from owner to owner for the first 3 years of his life; he's a grumpy dog at anyone he done's know well. He almost bit me the first time he met me, and that was the first dog to ever try to bite me in 25 years. I gave him a walk or two, and then he warmed up tome more. But giving him a car ride was the clincher. Milo didn't want to go back to his owner (we couldn't take real ownership of him until Kathy and I moved in together) after that. He's a great attack dog, but a lovable creature once he knows you. However, despite his bite, and initial demeanor, he's quite good to his toys. He'll play with the same 3 or 4 toys forever, he's never destroyed anything we've ever given him. Even little stuffed animals are treted with kid gloves compared to Tiger's toy handling. Milo's very obediant, his only fault is that he never likes to lay down unless he knows what he's about to lay down on.

We raised Tiger from a pup when he was 3 months old. He was literally thrown over the fence of Kathy's animal shelter. People told me to get Milo a companion; we weren't home for 9-12 hours a day sometimes, so it helped him out a little with inter-doggie skills (he'd bark violently at any other dog that approached him a few years ago). Tiger grew very quickly; we even feared he would become larger than Milo, but after 9 months, he just stopped growing. So he's about 2/3 the size of Milo. Tiger is always getting into trouble...he destroys any dog toy if you don't watch him. He's very good about other household items, interestingly enough. As long as he only destroys his stuff, I don't mind. Give him a toy that squeaks, and no matter how tough it is, he'll rip out the squeaker in 10 minutes or less. Milo's toys have to be kept apart from Tiger, obviously; Tiger's been beat up for messing with his stuff. But otherwise, they get along great. Tiger would run off a cliff if told to do so.

Man, I'm rambling on and on about my dogs.

Giles has time - he just leads an inappropriate lifestyle in order to take care of an animal that spends much of its time licking itself.

Giles is an animal that spends most of his time licking himself?

You should, uh, word that differently.

Meet Bella. This was her first time in snow. She loved it. You can't see in this pic but she has one grey eye, and one half and half eye, split horizontally accross the middle, brown and grey. It used to freak me out.

We don;t have a dog. But since our garage got broken into we've been talking about it for extra security. We did have a Golden Lab, Goldie (real original huh?) but she got a really bad skin infection and we had to put her down. But as soon as I've got my own place, I'm getting a dog.

I've got myself a black Labrador, named Molly (how un-original...) who is 4 year old. We had a German Sheperd when i was a kid, but he unfortunately got hit by a drunk driver when i was 14. :(

No pics, but just imagine Bimmerkid's dog with a bit more weight...

Jon's dog > All dogs

Jon's dog is one of the nicest looking dogs I've seen in a long time. I hope he sees this thread and posts a pic of his dog.
