Doin It In The Dirt

GT3 has the best dirt/rally tracks of any game i`ve ever seen.Who would like to see a full dirt version of the game?

i have to agree with you on that one, GT3 has the best rally tracks ive ever played. a full rally game based on the GT series would be a good game but i dont follow rallying that much (am not very good at it in other words) so it wouldent apeal to me that much. but to the hardcore rally fan it would be great.

I agree with you. I would love to see a full dirt version with new tracks and everything. That would rule. :thumbsup:

I agree up to some part. GT3 has some beautiful rally tracks, but if u want a complete rally experience, get Colin McRae 3 (is coming for PS2). This game has better graphics and it is more like a complete rally simulator.

The rally experience (especially with the Logitech wheel) is superb, and the tracks are solid - to a point.

They all are lined with an artificial barrier, that means when you go off, you just hit the barrier, you don't go into the scenery. That has to go.

They also need surfaces other than gravel.

Based on what they have, there would be a very solid basis for a rally game.

Actually, just on that, I was reading an article on WRC in a local car mag - apparently the WRC driving model is basically a 'dumbed-down' version of the simulator they supply to Prodrive (Subaru). With the reaction to the game they have vowed that they will use the full version of the driving physics from the simulator for WRC2002.

One thing they need to implement if they do a full Rally game is full rotation of the car (aka flipping onto your roof), along with visual damage, and not have have the barriers on the sides of the tracks. Those kind of hazards are most of the fun in rally games, atleast for me. And regardless of wheather they make a rally version of GT, they need to have snow, water, ice, and mud in the GT4 rally races. Im sick of racing on nothing but dirt and tarmac. I see the Subaru WRC drifting on snow all the time in videos and photos, it seems it would be awesome to do in the game.
