I'm aware that it's Xmas season and wish everybody a nice holiday.
Please don't drink and drive! (moderators move this if it should be somewhere else)
I just came from a friends house and used his G27 for a session on GT5.
I drank only 6 beers but still managed to put my bike (aprillia RS250 2stroke, completely illegal in this country, fast as hell and smokes more than I!) into a a taxi because I was under the impression I was Rossi (luckily only road rash). This isn't fun and I'm now going to have to take a taxi to work because of the repair job.
My point is this; Don't screw up somebody's holiday/life because of alcohol!
I learned the hard way. Be thoughtful this season please! :)

ONLY 6 beers and then drove? WTF is wrong with you? THAT was stupid! 👎

Glad to hear you made it out alive. Sounds like good advice from someone who's learned an important lesson.

You dont deserve an RS 250. Idiot.

Hopefully they took away your driving license for a long time, it's not the harm to yourself what's worrying (as that's your own decision) but the potential to harm others.
If you even considered driving or riding after 6 (or even 5,4,3,2 or in my own case even 1 beer) you don't even deserve a driving license in the first place.

Everybody deserves a second chance, just count yourself very lucky you didn't injure somebody, if you hurt yourself that's ok as it's punishment for stupidity. However nobody wants to be in hospital over christmas, so have a good one. ;)

Your Arillia has no change against my 2-stroke KTM :sly:

This also reminds me of my crash on my ktm  a year ago one moron took left turn and didn't see me coming straight I flew 20m and I only broke my left leg, I fell lucky, just like you. :)

Most intelligent people know not to drive drunk before they're told so on a forum by someone who obviously lacks the common sense not to.

Thanks anyway :)

Alcohol and street bikes, I'm very suprised that you are not dead.
Lesson learned, Merry Christmas.

Well it's obviously not the intelligent people he's talking to now is it?

Also, for whoever said something about "only six beers" I think he meant that it only took him six beers to do what he did. I know people who drink way more than that.

But still, good post. It shouldn't be necessary, but sadly it is.

Didn't think 6 beers was enough to even get a buzz going.
Glad you're ok.

Depends on the type of beer, I guess.
The beer-flavored water from Budweiser might not get you drunk, real beer will :sly:

December is drunk and drugged driving month. If you can't say it give your keys to someone who can.

I see, I'm in america so that has to mean I drink the tap water they call Budweiser?

Depends on what they did doesn't it? And nobody wants to be in a hospital period.
He's lucky perhaps for not suffering the consequences of his act apart from a damaged motorbike, if he hit someone and injured or killed him or her he wouldn't be talking about it the way he seems to do now (only 6 beers my arse).
Wonder if he will actually learn from it, believe me you will learn when you or someone close to you experienced being on the receiving end of a drunk driver and suffer the life long consequences of disability or loss due to a onetime irresponsible act described here as "stupid".
If I were in charge of making the laws, I would simply take away the driving license of a drunk driver for ever, no mercy.
Cars and bikes are no toys in traffic, if you want to drink and drive, play GT5.

Anyone who considers drink driving is an idiot! The OP inclusive, and I don't need to be reminded not to drink drive by an idiot (you may claim you have learnt your lesson, but it took you damaging your bike, a taxi, and potentially killing you and the taxi occupants to realise this basic knowledge)

People who deserve licenses KNOW not to drink and drive

@ the 6 beers comments... lawl

Is it safe to drink and GT5?

not if you want quick lap times . as to the op shame you didnt break a bone would have learned a real lesson. as to having to take a taxi to work. boo hoo hoo
people drive with kids in their cars dont ya know

as to having "only 6 beers" is that the legal limit where you live ???

ps i love a beer but just drink when i dont have to drive home

Well if you drink decent beer then six pints of it will put you probably about three times over the drink drive limit. So you might not get a 'buzz' but would certainly go to jail if you got caught.

Uhh, yeah, someone did.

No. He said

However, as you yourself just stated:

Not bothered by it, cause that is the crap most people drink around here.

So whether he did or did not imply something, it kind of hit the sport didn't it? Maybe not about you, but about the general public if not in the country then at least in your area. No?

In my state its right around 1% blood alcohol I believe. I'm not saying that 6 beers wouldnt put you over the limit(depends how long it takes you to drink them). But for many people 6 beers is just a slight buzz

1% blood alcohol level you'd be dead. At .5 I believe you're in a coma .It's closer to .1 or something
