Comfort Soft & Sports Hard Tires

The understeer machine Primaltima has some of the worst understeer you will ever experience. It's as if the steering wheel cuts out when you touch the brakes. Even if you brake while going straight and then turn you still get some understeer. I normally wouldn't put sports tires on a four cylinder sedan but the Primaltima is a special case. For track use, sports hard tires mute out a great deal of the understeer. But for normal driving (cruising), comfort softs are perfectly fine.

Another good case of a four speed car being made from a six speed car effing things up. Drag the top speed slider all the way to the left, then drag the final gear to the right. Then set the top speed to 149 mph, enter the individual gears then set the final gear to 3.330. In real life the car redlines shy of 7000 revs but in the game you can go up to 8000. The original car's final gear is in the 3.99x range which translates to unacceptably short gears in the game. With the final gear at 3.330 you can go to about 130 mph before hitting the car's "redline" (7000 revs). It still does highway speeds at 4000 revs but it's very quiet.

LSD

Normally I wouldn't give a non-sports car an LSD, but the understeer machine is a special exception. If you plan to just cruise, you don't need to worry about this.

Wow, Doog. I didn't know this thread existed. I've heard you say something about making replicas but I didn't know you made a whole thread with them.

Anyways, some of those look really good, I see a few I really want to try when I get home today!

Is this where we request a replica? If so, I request the new Fiat 500 Abarth.

Mistusbishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Based on: Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05

The Recipe:

GT Auto:

-Oil Change

Tuning Parts:
-ECU Tuning
-Engine Tuning Stage
-Catalytic Converter: Sports
-Sports Exhaust
-AYC Controller
-Torque Sensing Center Differential

Using Engine tuning to mimic the extensive tuning by Mitsubishi and Ralliart done to the 2.0 liter turbo engine, we arrive at nearly 360hp, a substantial increase over the base 260. From there Mitsubishi engineers installed a high-flow catalytic converter, and re-programmed the ECU, arriving at 366HP, and an impressive figure of 363ft-lb of torque/3200rpm. The suspension remains unchanged from the previous FQ models, as well as the braking system. Hoping to produce an extremely drivable car, Mitsubishi chose not to strip and gut the car similar to rally cars of the same pedigree. No official weight figures have been released, so I kept the weight stock.

-Sports Medium Tires
-Power Limiter @ 96.9%

Suspension:
*For those who want an obsessively accurate car, skip this part.*

-Fully Custom Suspension: Lower both figures by -11 for a low-look.

After getting the initial figures set-up for this car, I took it out to the TGTT for some basic acceleration & handling tests. What started out as simple benchmarking turned into hectic hot-lapping. I was intoxicated by the rapid & smooth shifts while using the clutch pedal, so I decided to let loose. The AYC does a superb job of managing the power and keeping the car in check through even the tightest switchbacks. (Think: Hammerhead) After 3 laps, I was turning 1:18's, and having an absolute blast rocketing out of slow corners. Naturally then, I took this car to Eiger with a bit of an overcast to highlight the car's rally heritage. You can drive this car well into the dirty bits of the track with 0 fear, as the barely noticeable 4WD system keeps everything running smooth. You can chuck the car deep into bends, and it snaps right back in line, as collected as before. Its much better than its Subaru equivalent.

Specifics:

-Displacement: 1997cc
-Power: 366hp/5800RPM
-Torque: 360ft-lb/4700RPM
-Drivetrain: 4WD
-Weight: 1410 kg
-Power/Weight: 3.78kg/HP
-PP: 488

Closing Thoughts:

With a 0-60 of 4.1 seconds, this car lives up to the acronym. Its F:censored:g Quick! Only available in the UK for £35,504 ($55,292), this is the only chance for many to drive it-- and its well worth spending time to make in-game. It doesn't fit in to a PP class, but it excels in hot-lapping any course you choose with ease. TL;DR: I love it.

That kinda reminds me. I was going to make a Corvette Grand Sport C6 replica once. Hell, that was back before the modding! Maybe I'll have to dust it off and post the setup here, including official Chevrolet options!
