Doubts - Sound Engine & Cars Premium

Maybe and we don't know.

Is common sense used at all nowadays ?
Not trying to be a dick, but god.

Yeah as already said, no one knows yet. Personally I think the new premium cars they've added will probably have improved engine sound. In the GT6 E3 video, the engine noises actually sounded pretty on point, but I don't know if it was prerecorded sound or actual in game sound. We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully the Supra will become premium as for a handful or other Standard cars. Personally I want the BMW E46 M3 CSL to become premium the most.

Welcome to GTP ;)

1. Kaz said he is working on a new sound engine, he is hoping it will be ready for GT6 launch!

2. Toyota Supra I am not sure, but my personal guess is that it is very likely. My reasoning is that I believe all cars that were on the 15th anniversary are going to be included (since some of them first appeared in the anniversary and the demo), I don't know if there was a stock Supra rz there, but there was an AE86. Which I guess is going to be premium, and presumably I believe that iconic cars are going to be made premium. I know it's a wild guess but it seems so logical to add a premium Supra!

Hope I helped :D

No he never said that. He said “Actually, we are doing research right now to generate the sounds in a completely different way. I’m not sure if it is actually going to make it into GT6 in time yet, but we’ll have to see.”

Therefore he has not even confirmed that they are working on new sounds, only that they are researching other ways. Any thing they change may not make it into GT6 let alone be ready for launch.
He did say the sounds in the E3 demo were placeholders so there is hope.

Sort of the same thing :dopey:

It's exactly the same thing, real research involves, in part, experimentation, and experimenting is just another way of saying doing. They'll have these new sounds working in some form (probably several), and there's still the small matter of 1200 cars.

Either they're struggling to get all the cars done (I think they've been doing them as they've gone along, hence the apparent inattention for GT5), or they're struggling to shoehorn the new method into the PS3's remaing resources. Possibly both, but I'd say definitely the latter.
