Anyone else notice this bug during the Las Vegas replay? The clock displays the right time but after you render the photo in Replay Theatre, it goes to 99.99:

After rendering:

Although this is somewhat unrelated, I have a question. What happened to having two cars on the drag strip at once? Remember the video that was released before the game came out? It showed two cars running the Vegas strip at the same time. Even had a "tree" if I recall.

How's you get that to render the correct time in th first time?

I didn't do anything special - simply did the run at the Las Vegas strip, saved the replay, loaded it into Replay Theatre and snapped the photo. As soon I returned from the rendered version to the photo adjustment screen, the time changed to 99.99 on the clock.

I really wish you could do 2 player on the strip. But the Straight at midfield works too.

I was wondering when the drag racing would be unlocked in the game but it looks like you can only use the Vegas strip to test your car alone 👎

That sux A$$

As for the glitch, thats some nice noticing there, i would never have picked something like that up.

Weird  :odd:

I guess what it does show is that when you run/save a replay, it doesn't just save a copy of it, it saves all the data about it, then recreates the replay from the data. I guess maybe they forgot to save the time data, so when it comes to recreate it is has nothing to display in the sign, so displays 99.99.

Computer programming eh - gotta love it...

I noticed this bug too. Kinda ruins it when ya go to render a sweet shot, but can't cause of the glitch comin out. 👎

I dont kno about any of you all...but ive seen pictures where there are 2 cars racing at the drag strip at the same time. Have any of you guys seen them cuz there must be a way. Im thinking when u pass the whole game completly u might be able to. Someone plz give me some feedback

there was orignaly a video of two cars dragging each other but i think that was wen the online capability was still on the board.. as soon as that was scrapped i think that idea was aswell.. ;_;

Another glitch with photmode dragstrip photos is that the correct time is not always shown.

If you pause to enter the photosettings a few times as you run down the strip, when you take a shot at the finish line the time with be greatly reduced.

The following is a stock Superbird.

A 5.58 second time is more than a bit silly; surprised this one has not come up before.

you can't render the backfire either.

That means these don't exist!

Wonder how I got them then, LOL. Of course you can render the backfire, its just bloody difficult to get the timing right.

Not true....

If you save a photo of a backfire as a film instead of a photo, then develop the film in photomode later, the backfire is not there. This happened with a photo I took of one of my Lancers. Strangely, it looked better without the flames...

I think this is because the film saves car position, brake/throttle settings, speed, the track, and the camera position and settings - nothing more. So call it a bug if you will...

That may well be the case, but nuno stated that you could not render backfire, and that is not correct. It is perfectally possiable to render backfire.

Amen to that - I've spent ages trying to pause the damn replay on the backfire. Whoops, missed it, have to restart the replay and try again, and again, and again, and again...

sometimes i get backfire by fluke :sly:

That is one hell of a fluke - they last for what, 0.2secs.? Definately under 0.5secs., to catch that is tough :dopey: Maybe I'm just too slow... :dunce:

remember where the backfire was the first time round, then restart and bash select until you get it :sly:

or just hit select before a slow corner froma hi speed section and try to catch one 💡

thats the second time they took drag racing out at the end. Remember when they did that for gt2 and left some drag cars in?

Is that why there was those cars in there.. I was wondering thier purpose at the time, seeing that they had limited turning ability...

EvilToast
back fire happens only when revs drop so of course in turns and stuff like that just press select like crazy. 💡
Not true, try moving from a standing stop in top gear. Produces much backfiring more often then not.
And it doesn't happen when the revs are dropping because you're breaking either, it happens when the revs jump because you just downshifted.
