Yesterday I dragged myself into one of those Indy Road Course drag racing rooms. Someone pulled out an Audi that looked like a bulkier version of the A4. I lined up next to it and I dumped the clutch and watched him blast past my little ZZII. This car ended up being the Audi Nuvolari Quattro '03. This thing was crazy fast. Any way I could tune a Tommy Kaira to keep up with one of these? I am constantly tuning this car and it seemed quick until it was mauled by the crazy amount of torque inside that car. :dunce:

Probably not, your ZZll has what 741hp vs the upwards of 1000hp the Audi's packin. l don't drag, so I'm not for sure... but try something with more bhp. Though I'm sure if you two were circuit racing you'd blow back around him at the 1st corner, if not 2nd.

Don't be so sure he would out corner him the Audi's are very good on the twisty stuff when properly tuned. Nothing against the Tommy Kairi but this might be a case where its simply outgunned all the way around.

how much hp is the nuvolari ment to have max? For some reason my one only has 833 hp.

Not sure as I've not tuned mine. All I have to go by is my RS 6 Avant and the 2 different R8s. Considering how all three of them perform and that the Nuvolari was a special edition Supercar figure it should be another all around monster from Audi.

Le Mans Quattro is pretty good IMO. Don't have the Nuvolari Quattro, could anyone give me the specs?

I haven't built my Nuvolari up so don't know the full specs...maybe someone else has them.

If the Nuvolari was that great, why isn't everyone using them? I think I remember racing one but since it probably didn't beat me I don't remember what I was driving.

May not be because of its performance or lack thereof but because its a less common car and a lot of people don't want to experiment with offbeat or hard to find cars, they just want to grab what everyone else is using and talk about how great it is and how they have the best one etc.

Well people usually just want to win which is why they always bring out Gayrons and X1's. Still waiting for specs tho...

Okay just pulled up one of my Nuvolari's

Stock it has 599HP, 553ft-lb torque@2000rpm(really weird power graph as the torque shows a slight decline from peak at 2000 to redline, but max HP supposedly doesn't come until 7000rpm with the redline being 7500rpm), weighs 1550kg with a 52/48 weight distribution and has 553PP.
I'll give it full modification now and see what we get.

Good thing this one only has 170km on it from the UCD engine rebuild would cost 450,000cr, chassis maintenance would cost 500,000.

Only aero available are the 3 standard wings which cost 75,000cr to install.

Ty really curious to what it can do...

Got it. I'm going to go have some fun with some slower cars. :D
Unfortunately, nobody seems to drag slower cars. It's always either the "big boys" (Viper, GT, etc.) or FWD Hondas, with the occasional classic American cars roaming about. I'd love to see some PP restricted drag racing...

Okay gave it the oil change and HP is now 629, while torque is 580 ft-lb. PP=561

Full weight reduction including Windows(carbon hood not available) brings total weight down to 1261kg and raises PP to 579

Sometimes you run into a room with supras and rx7. But then Again you can just create your own room ;)

Engine tuning stage 3 applied 688HP, ECU tuning unavailable.

Sports intake manifold and racing air filter added 702HP(sports air filter not available)

👍

All exhaust items available so installed with titanium racing exhaust of course. 752 HP and things aren't looking so hot for massive amounts of HP.

High RPM Turbo gives us our biggest HP boost raising it to 850.
Torque is now 650ft-lb@4100 rpm. Max HP at 7600 rpm with redline at 8100.

That's it. Oh and it has 618PP. Looks like my RS 6 Avant '08 would eat it in a straight line. Not going to try tuning the suspension etc right now.

Almost forgot power to weight ratio is 1.46kg/HP

Well, these "audis" not r8, weighs alot, and that the problem, even the 950 hp rs6 gets owned by less hp cars, just because of the weight.

My rs6 is a gtr killer in the tunnels, it launches super hard and can nail 230 at the end

Haha, first of all, the top speed hardly matters, its the ammount of time you get there. Second, the RS6 has to much weight and bad aerodynamics to be fairy competitive with equal hp cars.

Well, the top speed "hardly" matters, but if it matters, a well tuned gtr does like 236, 237 mph. Any decent tuned gtr will kill the rs6 at both ssr7 and on indy.

Also, a statement like yours, will get you killed in a drag room :)...ask cooldude he knows..

I don't use it for real drag rooms I know it's too slow, but for it's size it moves and will beat amateur's gtr's in the tunnel which makes it a fun car to drag with and mess around in public lobbies. Launch is way more important at Indy, but at ssr7 have a good trap speed is a good indicator of where your car ranks.

My Avant IRL weighs in at 4000lbs w/o driver. Audis are TANKS but I love em!!!

Wow this thread was created before I joined GTPlanet  Why did you revive it lol it was dead

It looks as if my secret odd tuner is found by others. I was looking at this car for Weeks trying to figure it out. Dragging this car against equel HP could be a killer.

A wow car waiting to happen.
