It can yes, to generate more downforce on the back end when you really short`n the gears.

Why would you want downforce dawg? As far as i know, unless you doing the spolier trick, why would it help?

Because in 1/4 you dont need top speed, the wing helps to push the car down for better take off with very short gears, hense top fuel draggsters have massive ones.👍

I hate the spoiler trick. You can have a bad tune and if you got a wing you take off like a bat out of hell 👎

I never have an aftermarket wing on any of my drag cars.

I run no wings, however what is this wing glitch? I may have to find a way to detect, and ban it from my tournament lobbies. Can someone describe it?

such things wont work online so you dont need to "find a way to detect"

I Dont use wing's personally, but i know having one can help. And it does work. But if You need a wing for take off then You can't be to good at tuning lol.

If a wing is faster and you don't use it, then you can't be good at tuning!

And if your wing tune is having trouble staying infront of no wing tunes, then you can't be good at tuning. :p

Its not a glitch, but i was refering to some other things regarding the wing though. Funny that everything is glitches to you guys. No, most of these so called tricks and secrets have been there since the beginning boy...

Personly i dont find indy 1/4 mile that appealing, mainly because it isnt 1/4 mile, and as maffia boy mentioned earlyer, 30 meters can make a huge differance when testing a cars...

If you win, you win!! :D

Actually, it is a physics glitch. GT5 has great physics...when you are racing. But at low speeds it's a different story. When you have a wing, downforce is applied no matter what speed you are going. Therefore, a wing pushes the car down at 10mph with the same force as it does at 100mph. More downforce = more traction = faster car. Mainly for n00bs who can't tune...

at least for ssr7, i have 2 cars that work well with a spoiler

Yes and they are the *** *******, and the ******** *** ** :)

Noe, it's got a biggar plank on it men. I can loosens these two nuts and move it and change how much downforces it haz.

Umm, slump.........that WASN'T supposed to be mentioned. :dunce: Now you're just going to see 10000 noobs running wings. :grumpy:

Well now that makes me feel better since I never lose by more than half a car to a No Stripe with a wing :D

But but but my ACR haz wingz.

Yeah, but they come stock and have no downforce at SSR7, or even any to adjust.👍

I've seen plenty of ACR's with aftermarket wings...

never ran a no stripe with a wing, interesting

Nor have I, and slump & d2 had troubles keeping infront of my no wing tune. Now they will smash me because of the physics change. :yuck:

At Indy they're quite common, don't know about R7 tho.

I elected to leave mine off but now I'm considering to adding mine so I'm more competitive with others.

I know I'll sound like a noob asking this, but why is the Ford GT without a stripe better than one with a stripe? I thought it was just a paint difference...

Same :L

The 06 gt should be faster but its not because it has less pp than the no stripe
