Draughting after update 2.01

Having just installed the new update theres a glitch in the draughting.
Having previously fixed the draughting to a high and low choice and being able to notice a big difference in the 2.
The 2.01 version has messed up the sensitivity of the draughting to the extent that when you have it on reduced(low) setting,the draughting or slipstreaming is just as strong as it was on the old version again which is bad.
Personally im a karter specifically in GT5 and the fix we had prior to the 2.01 release was 100 times better as it made racing a lot more competitive as im sure it did for car drivers and f1 etc....however with the 2.01 we are back to square one again and this has to be addressed.

How do we get this feedback to those that matter please?👎:grumpy::yuck:

Definitely beers while karting.

On a more relevant note though; the draft has always seemed to have a greater effect with lower power vehicles, with karts having the most effect. Running a race a few minutes ago I didn't notice any difference from yesterday.

It was a kart race I had just run. I didn't see a difference in the draft, although I noticed the 125s run up on my PDI 100 really quickly.
 
Oh, and it's ''drafting''.
 
Since its lower powered vehicles, I can understand to help newer drivers? Perhaps they should have added a third setting rather than reverting to a much stronger draft.
 
I'd pull a wuss if draft beer went in drought

He's just trying to fit in, and "draughting" isn't incorrect by any means - draught and draft are equivalent in meaning and historical use. Besides, it's "slipstreaming". :p
"Draft" sounds a bit thin and ineffectual, barely able to waft the curtains / drapes, the kind of thing you could stamp out with one of those sausage things placed in front of the door. Not really evocative of the turbulent wake left by a rapidly moving object in a fluid, in my opinion.

But who cares, really?

In NASCAR they draft all the time. Maybe they are not real racers! Drafting happens in most races, do not go around saying that drafting is for wusses.

You are confusing "Draft" and "Boost"

"Boost" gives the slowest people a boost so they can keep up with everyone else.

"Drafting" is sitting in someone elses slipstream so you can pass them in a proper manner. Drafting is a large part of every race series in the world. I hope you are confusing boost and draft, otherwise you just called every F1 racer in the world "not a real racer"

What??? Drafting is a huge part of raceing. One of the rules on here,no caps lock

Oh great! The draft was perfect on "weak", very close to reality and now they decide to mess it up and make it like it was before Spec 2.0. There goes the exciting racing.. :(

The draft is off during 'Free Run' so you could always just run laps for time and the draft wouldn't be in effect.

No disrespect at all - Can you please fix the spelling on the title of this thread, and your post, from "draughting" (incorrect, that would be pronounced "Drowt-ing") to the proper spelling "Drafting." I only ask because I COMPLETELY agree and we need to make sure this thread stays visible so that PD can quickly recognize it and fix the draft settings. Thanks for creating this thread.

Having a weak draft setting is critical to having a fun driving experience, especially when you have great driving talent and equal cars.

SO PLEASE, PD - FIX THE DRAFT SETTINGS AGAIN!! RESTORE THE WEAK DRAFT!!👍

I raced in 2.01, set the draft to weak, and it seemed fine. NASCARs on Spa at 190 mph, and I didn't see the ridiculous jump in speed when drafting.
 
I thought this thread was going to be some sort of thing saying there's not much people online like a drought online. But I was incorrect. :p

Incorrect. Both spellings are fine. Draft is used in America, whereas both spellings are used here.

Maybe ''boost'' was ON and ''drafting'' was set to ''weak'' and he confused one for the other when he noticed a speed increase from the person behind. What's the draft setting called in the settup screen?
 
Am I the only one who never saw a problem with the old draft?
