Draughting after update 2.01

Yeah I notice no difference in the 'weak' setting before and after the update. Tested several times and others here agree. Don't get too tangled up Forced, as the draft is the same and this thread is mostly to garner attention. Nothing to see here.....move along.
 
Well from what Ive read so far,we got a bunch of wisecrackin jokers here.


I race karts in GT5,me and many others race them every day to a high standard and we are in a league.

When the new weak DRAFTING/SLIPSTREAM was introduced it was perfect.

I know when something has changed as do all of my fellow karters.
Im telling you that since the 2.01 update we are now back to HIGH drafting situation as it was before and its more noticeable in karting where you should not have the draft effect like you do in nascar etc,its quite unrealistic and ridiculous.

What I didnt expect on this forum was a bunch of half witted fools stickin their nose in on a subject they know little about obviously as all they can quote on is what its like for them in cars......this post is specific about karting and unless you kart regularly in GT5 dont tell your granny how to suck eggs.
Or to put it another way unless you know what your talking about,best to stay out of it.
 
After reading this post i've spent quite a bit of time looking at the drafting situation. I can't see the problem. i've been racing Nascar for a few days and the drafting seems fine to me. it does seem to be quite noticeable on the kart races but that's all

I am in complete agreement here Wanlangpot. Too many fools expressing opinions that have no idea since they are COMPLETELY DEPENDENT on the draft from a great distance behind and do not know how to set up and gain lost time by driving instead of drafting. NASCAR and Karting are completely different racing so give your heads a shake and think before you type.
Some in here I respect for responding to this post with an open mind but the others that just want to build up their amount of posts with foolishness...👎 you must be the ones I boot out of my rooms

Having just installed the new update theres a glitch in the draughting.
Having previously fixed the draughting to a high and low choice and being able to notice a big difference in the 2.
The 2.01 version has messed up the sensitivity of the draughting to the extent that when you have it on reduced(low) setting,the draughting or slipstreaming is just as strong as it was on the old version again which is bad.
Personally im a karter specifically in GT5 and the fix we had prior to the 2.01 release was 100 times better as it made racing a lot more competitive as im sure it did for car drivers and f1 etc....however with the 2.01 we are back to square one again and this has to be addressed.

How do we get this feedback to those that matter please?👎:grumpy::yuck:

It's not even true, how would PD "fix" what isn't broken?

But because i mean it, maybe not in karting then it seems, but in all the rest it IS still the same. Did we lie?

Maybe type wayyyyyy more earlier you only wanna talk about karts instead of drauft in general....
This isn't smellable you gonna react to us like this if we missed the kart clue...

I'm an uber clean racer, had some great ones again yesterday, all roadster TC only on Spa, tx too J_Jxxx. Again taking me 6 laps to switch 2 positions while being there constantly at his back... So again i thought draufting is still fine.

Maybe it is not for Karts, shame on that, but saying:

Not knowing how to setup...
Completely dependand on drafting...
Driving instead of drafting...

Dude, be happy i don't call you a fool... Wich you called out to us btw...

Untwist your panties new guy. Your parading around pounding on your chest is quite entertaining. In all of your 3 posts, how have you actually contributed to this forum. If it were me, I would be asking the thread author to edit the thread to include the word "KARTS" to the title.

There are some incredibly helpful and wise people amongst the 120,000+ members here at GTPlanet.

The draft is as it was before the update...TOO STRONG and does not need to be there. DRAFT is for the wusses that do not know how to drive and needs it to get closer from over 2 seconds back. If you are a real racer and know how to drive then you do not need draft.
A lot of the comments on this post must be from children. You know the kind I mean...THE ONES THAT FALL SO FAR BEHIND AND DROP OUT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T KEEP UP.
My opinion...GIVE US THE OPTION TO TURN THE DRAFT COMPLETELY OFF!!!👍

No, If you are a true racer, actual racer more specifically you understand the slipstream and you use it to WIN. Not windows. Not lose. WIN. How do you win? By being faster. A slipstream makes your vehicle faster because you don't have to punch a hole through the fluid, since the man in front is already doing so. Ever watch the Taladega 500, incredible. Watch it, learn from it, be amazed. Anyway, in racing, one has classes of competition , be it miatas or LMP class cars, or lawnmowers. These cars meet specific classification requirements and are scrutinized by the the scrutineer to ensure standards are met. This ensures that cars are competitive. Such a thing doesn't exist in GT5 unless you do a one make race. Even then. How can you know that the cars are in fact identical? You can't, stock vs. stock + stage 2 restricted back to stock, stock. And what this means is, you can never really know whether the speed increase is due to the slipstream and you are pushing the car into the peak of it's performance envelope or, the car in front is just helping you get to the top speed you can do regardless of slipstream or not because the car in the slipstream is already in a class all it's own in a race of lower class cars. See what I'm saying? In real life, a slipstream will only enable you to go slightly faster cause your car won't go any faster, when someone wedges a veyron into a european mini race and then complains of a strong slipstream, that man is a moron. Karts are a different story, they are all identical and when I tried em out in GT I noticed a 6mph increase in top speed when i was behind another man, but this doesn't seem extraordinary. The drag created by the human body sitting in an 70 MPH gust wearing a nylon nomex space suit doesn't do you any favors, drag wise, but I have never noticed any slipstream in a kart, though the karting I've done I was having too much fun to pay attention to the slipstream. Try this, take a stock GTR around the Nurburgring behind some lemans prototypes and then tell me the slipstream is too strong. Or better yet, do the Suzuka 1000 in a stock GT500 car (not the NSX lemas protosuckacoktypeRetarded) a Yellowhat supra stock or the Yellowhat gtr, then we talk about strong slipstream.

I get all offended when plugs like you open your mouth and also not contributing but to post and degrade someone as well. Give your head a shake.
No one in here needs to talk to me about NASCAR as I am a devoted fan and know about drafting. Drafting in NASCAR and Karts are 2 totally different things.
So get off your high horse big guy and post something helpful instead of trying to ridicule people :banghead:

I will agree with you on that Marcus. They need to look at the draft issue to have a weak setting put back into effect. It will make the Karting much more enjoyable 👍
