Kindly if anyone has a proper drift set up for the skyline R32 gtr Vspec 11 and R34 gtr nur... i would greatly appreciate it.

Waiting impatiently!!!

Regards:tup:

R34 w/ ATESSA ETS active? lol.. good luck with that..
That thing switches from 4WD <--> RWD back and forth whenever the computer chip feels like it. Suppose to be optimal for grip racing. That's why so many people call it the "Cheat car" cuz it tried to eliminate the weakness and focus on strengths from both. Only downfall is that its comparable to an overfed titan elephant in terms of weight which in turn rapes the brakes. Honestly, I don't even know if there's an option to turn it off in the game like in real life. I'm still interested if someone has a setup though :P

I'd ask TwinturboHC or whatever his name was. He drifts with the R32 in rl and is quite active on this board.

Grab a GT-S rather than the GT-R if you're interested in developing technique.

If you just want to drift an AWD...I'd suggest a different car probably.

Sio, I just recommend you to save up your credits and buy the skyline drift cars from the dealership.
Unless you want to buy that thing where you can split torque. I think either F10/R90 or F20/R80 would be fine. Im no expert on AWD cars but i know you wouldn't want 50/50 unless you got godlike accuracy and control.

the Amuse Carbon R is an FR R34 which is supposed to drift pretty well according to an older thread...I have tried it myself though and don't like it that much, maybe you will......but it isnt premium for one as well which from the sound of it is a dealbreaker for you...also, it looks pretty ugly for an R34...Amuse's S2ks look way better haha

can u trade me the amuse if you u are not to keen on it?

also i still haven't gotten a blitz up to now, ppl only giving me run around talk and cant even show me the car in a lobby.

come on ppl if you can help, just give me the car

You can slide a GTR, but unfortunately, the way the physics are on this game, you can't drift anything 4wd properly, they just don't handle right. My RL R32 GTS-T has GTR arches and a GTR engine with kit/wign/carbon bonnet etc, and I too wanted to copy it in the game, but I'd rather have a car that doesn't look quite right but handles like my car (R32 GTS-T), over a car that looks the same but handles like ****e (R32 GTR).
I know it's not the answer you want, but until the game offers us the opportunity to convert GTR's to permanent RWD, it's the only one you are going to get.

Please stick to in game references though a ex PDR member Jap_Taxi has made his first video with a GTR

Please stick to in game references

Why? I think it's awesome that these guys have such sick cars to show off. The topic is about drifting Skylines and these are photos of Skylines drifting. The topic has been discussed at length and a conclusion has pretty much been reached.

No offense, but you always seem to be trying really hard to act like you're a moderator around the drifting forums. I know that you're a cool guy and wanna help out the site and everything, but you tend to be a bit overbearing.

At any rate, it's not just me that feels the AWD handling is off? The GTR is supposed to practically drive itself and I have a LOT of trouble with that thing. The AWD Lambos are all nightmares as well. The Lancers and Imprezas seem alright, and the R8 is driveable...but yeah, something just doesn't feel right to me with the others.

Hey guys sorry i got carried away with my pics.....i just feel happy to be apart of this gt5 drift section. i really want to get my r32 gtr in gt5 to drift smoothly as some do on youtube.

Please if anyone has drift settings to offer me please do....

.
I know. Though posting pictures of R32's drifting when someone is asking for a setup is off topic. I was wondering when someone is going to at least say something about how I really act in this forum. Just don't get carried away with alot of things.

Just don't take it the wrong way. No disrespect intended, I got no ill will toward you at all :)

I am not, if I had a PS3 and the game. I would of helped you guys a lot but tragically, I don't. I like giving heads up about a lot of things about the do's and don'ts( some people still don't follow the AUP correctly but I can see it pass, unless a moderator says so)

Here is how to make an AWD car feel and react like a RWD car.

Purchase center differential and LSD.

Set center diff at 10/90
Set front LSD: 5/5/5 (set the rear LSD the way you normally set for RWD)

You may need to do some suspension fine tuning to get your car to turn the way you like but all and all it works pretty good for me.

Nk4e: that vid shows how obviously any gtr doesn't handle like a rwd, there are times in that vid where you can clearly see the front wheels pull him out of slides, you've actually made my point for me LOL

LR-SWD-007: Doesn't matter what you do, in GT5, AWD can NEVER handle like RWD, end of. Sorry if people don't like that answer, but it IS the answer.

In real life yes I agree but this is a game, a game that is built on rules that can be broken. It's like Neo and the Matrix, you have to know how to get around the limitations of the system.

If you want to actually pull off a 4WD (dif:45/55) drift with high slip angle, you gotta really haul ass into the corner entry and feint + e-brake it HARD. Stomp on the gas 100% with precise steering since front wheels are creating traction too. Your timing will be most crucial. It'll also be WAY less forgiving than drifting with a rwd and never as flexible. You really gotta do it with precise speed and timing (even more so than rwd) or else you'll screw it up baaaad.
I really don't recommend 4wd... It creates way too much traction than what's necessary. If you're rallying then that's a different story.

Btw, slightly off topic but its always been on my mind. Some guys I know from okinawa (street racers) said they can dori with FF. How the hell is that possible? Isn't that being a little pretentious? All i can think of is "ass dragging" with well timed e-brake with slip angle that 'technically' meets the drifting terms...

kinda like this... but then again, some people will always argue that awd and ff is never to be considered drifting -ever-.

FF drifting seems a bit of extra work with the handbrakes lever, i think hydraulic Hbrakes seems key for it.

Anyways guys i have played with my lsd settings continuously and i have seen some improvement. i think my r32 has to much power, very aggressive so i may have to down tune the HP.

what i have learn't from drifting in real is that you do not need a extremely powerful engine, just balanced power (HP) with weight reduction.

I was kinda sad about the fact that in GT5 the center diff doesnt change a AWD to RWD. I bought a Evo and i thought its possible and failed and it became a track car :)

I know how to 'get around the limitations of the system' but the fact is, I'm a VERY experienced drifter in real life, and I can't get a GTR or any other 4wd to handle like rear drive, end of. It's similar, but not close enough for my liking.
