This weeks theme is Smoke in your face

Further explanation:

~ In a 4WD on a Street Course, pass another car while drifting, leave them choking on your smoke. ~

Cars: Any 4WD (AWD) - No Race or Rally Cars
Track: Street Courses Only
Phototravel: Of course not :D

You may submit one entry. It must be your own work and not previously entered in a competition.

You must post your entry either as a thumbnail, or as a preview linked to the full image - see here for instructions .
Previews should be no larger than 400 pixels along the longest side - be it vertical or horizontal - and should not have more or less effects than the full size image.
Photos must be taken from a normal version of GT4, do not use any cheats or Game Shark codes to modify the game content.
Please do not ask other members to choose your entry. Have confidence in your own skills and go with your favorite shot.
The theme chooser cannot enter the competition he is judging.

It's just hard to get a good composition on one of the available tracks. I know thats the point of the competition . Its not supposed to be easy
 
Notice, this is an open competition, so if you have a hard enough time trying slide in front of someone, you can fabricate the situation. Although I would prefer to see an in-race drift.

Setup your drifts off the straights, and you should be able to carry enough speed through the drift to pass, timing & technique is everything!!

Nenad, you're not supposed to have two competitions open at once. Wait to post the new week until the last week is closed.
 
IMO- keeping a day lag with the 2 competitions open could be a good thing. Gives you a window to finish up an entry, and an advanced warning, or even the ability to do both entries of the same style in the same gameplay session.

But if that lag lasts much longer than a day, I can see problems arise.
Even with a one day lag, we may start seeing, the same car at the same track, for two different competitions; which wouldn't be good for anyone, stagnating the creative flow with watered down entries.
 
I am personally Fine with the idea as there have not been any entrys yet .

Thanks, I didnt really know how i wanted to make my entry .I was originally trying to do a steep view fron the corner of the car to put it on a screen up high but after looking around i found the perfect backdrop

Most definitely, it conforms to the OPEN edit rules. And might I say that's one heck of a good Entry, both in Concept and Execution, Well Done.

Cool SD09 and myself were talking on Yahoo about some new ideas for Open Edits . Some Granted are off the wall while others are ... well you'll see
This is just the beginning of whats still to come:sly:

Still a great shot, and hey your the front-runner so far; but since your the only entry, so the worst shot so far too, lol. I hope you didn't scare off the competition.

I'll put an entry together for this, even though it may not make it to the polls.
 
LoL, I hope I didnt scare anyone off either . SpeedDemon 09 was working on his entry last time I talked to him. GrumpEone you have great entrys like several others here.I am starting to get into the whole "open editing" scene. I cant wait till GT5 so i can enter comps for both games. The standards will be raised for the unedited images though.

Thanks, I put 2 other outtakes in my gallery. I still think the shot needs a little more touch-up it's a little rough on the roof & rear on that audi.

First of all, your fullsize link is not working, and secondly, your entry is not legal. You can't use elements from images outside GT4. Although, I must say it is pretty creative.
