:nervous: I can seriously feel the grain rubbing against me but does anyone else prefer drifting 4WD cars rather than RWD motors. If you adjust the VCD to 15 its easy to get huge angles and speed.

2WD's are unpredictable and mad-crazy and 'why bother stupid' out of control power peolple. i praise the powers of the jedi to you all that you can produce massive, angular drifts and make otherwise unuseable skyslines drift munching big whore chewing monsters.

take the path to the good side and drift with the best of us.....choose the blue pill people.....ROCK ONN!! :nervous:  :nervous: :) :dopey: :indiff: :yuck:   👍 💡 👎 :guilty: :sly: :grumpy: :scared:

RWDs are not the ONLY way to go.

AWDs are good drifters too. Takes a bit more tuning but they're just as entertaining and maybe fun as RWDs.

Same with FWDs

...everything is fun to drift, I prefer FR's to drift, FF's to grip...and AWD to dirt or snow...Or Auto X / Rally Events

IMO RWD Cars look better drifting because of the constant Countersteer. But AWD is still cool and I think I have yet to see a FWD car drift in GT4.

the hell?!?
fr's are the only way to go -_-

EDIT:....hope forceinduction doesn't read this :nervous:

Everyone has different opinions.

IMHO, AWD cars have awesome control and can pound through huge hairpins using power off all four wheels.

I've drifted FR cars too, but I would drift an AWD car over an FR car anyday in GT4.

I wanna see an Eclipse and a video lol I mean I have a few pics of me spinning out and it looks like I'm drifting....... Yeah I know its lame..

I don't think its really hard Force, nor is it easy.

Theres just more to it thats all, not alot though

oh man. ff is VERY hard compared to AWD and FR's imho.
I never really got the concept down...even though i drive a 5speed altima in real life, i can't really see how i can drift that thing using e-brake.

i'll stick with AWD

So far my Nismo Skyline has amazed me in how good it drifts. I'm still a beginner and thought I'd try AWD, and I'm glad I tried. The more angle the more power in the wheels! I love the skyline plus It's more than 850 HP!!!(fully tuned) very light and good for long corners!!!

If you're low on money then first, buy a DTM(Deutch Touring) car or pick one up from your garage, then tune it up a bit.Go to the Deutsche Touring Meistershaft (DTM) Championship and enter it.Let your B-spec. driver do all the races in pace 4(Fast) with time sped up by 3x. Normally your B-spec. driver should do all the 5 races in 15 minutes. Every win is worth 15,000 credits+ a bonus of 75,000 for winning the championship+ a bonus of 700,000+ credits for selling the car you won from the championship (Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car '98). That makes in total 900,000 credits in 15 minutes. Get ready to store all those 4,500,000 credits worth cars in your garage.I recommend you first buy Mazda 787B if you plan on getting the Gran Turismo Formula '04 from the Endurance races(24Hr race).

I hope all this helps!!! :sly:

Neocrox
Yeah, I did it a long time ago with the normal R34..

HAHA you make it sound like you were the very first one to do it

that was my go-to car in gt3. I really couldn't tell a difference from the regular r34, but i like the graphics on the car :)

As for horsepower level, 850 seems a bit too much. seems like you'll have to use the brake hard and constantly.

ASM understeeer at 12? that thing must be really slippery.

Err, that's a Mine's Skyline, not Nismo... well, that's nothing 👍

It really needs that ASM, it understeers like mad :irked:

And everyone that says 4WD drifting is difficult should buy a Nismo Skyline R-tune, equip it with N2 tires and take it to the Nürburgring. Sidewaaaaayyyyss.....

Dude I was like pretty good in AWD at first...but it's soo frustrating I cant get back to AWD in any way now. It like became totally impossible for me after I learned to master FR.

I'm sad:(

Ah well, everyone has their preference
I just prefer all three, four if you wan' count MRs X_X

GT4 Drift King nice vid!I liked that you showed the whole laps and not just parts of some corners. :sly:

I have all my drift cars to max HP because I use Pover Over technique. Understeering is set to 12 cuz that helps me get more angle when I'm in the middle of the drift. I wish I could make a video but I still have to figure out how. I dont think I have a TV-card.

I agree, even back in GT3 I learned to drift AWD but of high HP but when I was turned into a FR drifter, I found out after that I had mastered FR, that AWD is easier because you can regain that ANGLE OF NO RETURN. Not like FR but its worth the challenge.
