Hey Everyone, I posted a few nights ago saying, "I Found the Secret to DFP Drifting". Just wanna say sorry for such a lame post everyone.. But i was pretty excited seeings as how i've been practicing for months.

Well I really did find the secret this time.. And when i speak i'm speaking specifically about an White RX-7 GT-X. Which is my primary FR Drifter as of right now. Well I found out that While these entire few months i've been drifting it with 294hp, STAGE 1 Turbo with N1 Tires. Just today i Brought it down to a stock turbo clocking in at 266HP with N1's. WOW What a difference I mean all that practice actually paid off the car is so much more stable seeing as how the harder spool has been effecting the my drifting.

Now i know that with a larger turbo comes a harder power band. And heres my questions:
*And please comment on all Types of Cars. AWD,FR,FF,MR,RR*

Is It considered harder or even "Practical" to drift FR's with more horsepower?

What Do You Prefer?

Should a FR car with, 300hp and up use next step up on tires?(Speaking of the FC where my Experience Lies)

Also, Do your drift DS, or DFP? because this really does make a difference in drifting styles and what u "Can" and "Cant" do with a wheel..

Now I know some of these questions is vaque and i'm hoping it gets discussed furthur..
Obviously AWD's will proably the first thing people talk about saying as how Higher HorsePower is better in most circumstances.. since making 4 wheels spins is alot harder then making 2 wheels spins.. Anyway enjoy the thread..

Torque fixes everything my man. That's the truth. All of my drift cars are maxed out with horsepower. I prefer to have between 500-700hp on this game. The thing is that you have to be a better driver to drift with increased power, you have to have more throttle control. And you just use whatever tires you can drift best with. I usually run N2's on my 5-6 hundred bhp cars. But I have to run N1's on cars with anything less than 500 to get the most out of it.

P.S. Go drift High Speed Ring to get the feel for the increase in power.

damnit i typed something up and i lost connection with the net.
n1's for under 200 ish n2 for 200-350 and n3 for 400 and up unless i wanna try low hp with it.

Power does matter, but if you go too high, you gotta move up on tires... so it's the same thing if you are drifiting a 750 hp car on Sport softs or a 300 hp car on N-tires...

if you understand what i'm saying.

if you keep the n-tires and go insane power u wont get any momentum and u'll never make it through the turn (u'll just stop halfway.)

So by me using N1's at just about 300hp in an FC, i proably was stepping of that ledge alittle and into a "Danger" zone. ANd N2's is proably in most cases a better bet..?

i use n1's 95% of the time if its 60hp or 600hp. i think it all depends on what ya wanna do. i love high power with plenty of wheelspin on tap but it just needs to be kept under control. in turn i also love low power going full throttle the whole time.

A lot of people are purists for lower power cars, I'm a purist for the stock feel of the car, but I like a lot of higher horsepower cars (M5, Ruf BTR, Ruf CTR, Shelby Cobra) for drifting.

It requires different techniques, and lower horsepower cars tend to give you more room to make errors...like the BMW 2002 Turbo, you can just fling it all over the place without thinking twice...

That Cobra though, its so light and powerful, if you don't watch it, you're backwards in the dirt wondering what happened.

I judge the tires more on vehicle weight, if it is really light I go down to N1's, but most cars I drift on N2's...

I do recommend though, if you can choose, and want more power, Supercharge it...

The low end torque really rocks.

I love drifting higher power cars... for example, my latest favorite is my Cadillac Cien at 940 HP. I used N2's with almost everything, though I sometimes like N1's because they limit my speed (too much spinning even on straights). SO pretty much what I Like to do is max out my horsepower... it's just easier for me becaue that way I can do power overs easier.
