Drifting in arcade mode?

uh, yes. You drift with two players in arcade mode. There is no trick to it at all. You simply have to be able to drift stock cars. That's it. So do it just like you were doing a two player race, set it to the tires you like and go for it.

Well, if you are doing it in 2 palyer mode, you can load your current car settings from GT mode from your garage (taking for granted you already have some cars set up for drifting).

Only by taking n1/n2 tyres. You have to rely on the car stock though.

If you don't, the above is the only solution :)

Good luck!

This is exactly correct... Don't let it fool you when you are at the start race screen that shows the cars and their power... All that is displayed is stock settings, however, that is not truly the case with a memory card loaded vehicle, just appears that way.

:embarrassed: Someone actually quoted me :D hehe

by the way people, the only settings u can adjust in arcade mode in time trial etc. is the overall power and weight of the car really (i think?), not much help for drifting

Quoting you again... :sly:
True, the only settings you can adjust are power and weight, and if I am correct in my thinking, all you can do is take it from stock to maxed out... I will check that later.

Well that just sucks.. I think they don't allow it because it makes the game too beneficial for the player. Like in GT3 for example, I had Gamesharked my cars to a ridicously big HP, and the game doesn't setup a list of cars to go against anything near those stats, but they go by car. What i'm saying is that if you load a touring car from your Garage that has enough HP to keep up with LMs they'll stil out your opponents as Tourings since your car's a touring itself... I find that very lame, but that's when you set the difficulty higher :D

DeSwyft, I have no clue what you're talking about.

I don'tlikeit at all mself. But that's just how it is andhow it has been ever since the release of GT4.

Sure, I'd like to have my custom cars for drifting against friends, but we don't get that. So, let's just deal and look forward to GT HD.

You make absolutely no sense here. How can you be mad at a game for giving you lousy opponents when you've used a cheat device to tune your car beyond reasonable limits? The game itself would never have been programmed to deal with something like that, or you wouldnt need a cheat device to do it...

@ BlitzR34sedan (and @ Swift): you can load cars from your garage in 2p mode by going to the 1 or 2 at the top of the screen during the car selection. It's only in the 1P arcade mode that you can't load your own cars.

Right, but people also want to be able to completely tune the cars there and this can't be done. So I guess we're both right :)

Come to think of it....the reason why there is no option to load your garage cars in single player arcade is......there is no point...you can drift them in gtmode and practice at whatever course you would like...enter races too...

Arcade mode in single player is nice and stock...can't mistake drifting stock...aka kai xlink drifting

I don't think you were allowed to load car settings, i tried this with my elise and pace car that both have a drift setting and were set on drift setting before.
Doesn't Drift, it is stiff, and you can tell there's a big diff.
haha, I rhymed..the memory card thing only loads that car, but I don't think that mattered because the big list of cars on the manufactured sections should hold every car that you own, right?
