You just know alot, thats all

I just like research... I always have... Not to mention, after years of my own automotive research, I am now studying to be an automotive technician... At the moment I am learning how to remove, disassemble, clean, bore, hone, reassemble, and install most typical RWD and FWD engines... This is very exciting to me because I am planning on building an SR20DET (S13 Red-top) from the block up (including instalation of aftermarket cams, adjustable cam gears, etc, etc..), and then swapping it into my coupe... This time next year I am hoping to at least get started with this project...

I just don't want people to think I'm a know-it-all... I am always learning and I appreciate good information from all sources...

;)

hmmm, how do u slide with a civic type r, cuzz when i try too take a corner, the car's frontend would slide forward, instead of the back.

Describe abit more in detail please?
example; I hit the ebrake before entering the right corner, the back slides outward a bit, than the forward part of the car would slide outward instead of the back

Hey, iam in Gaia too ;)

Just mix the tires with ultra front grip and least rear grip and the FF car will sway its butt.
erm ok, but its not recommended to mix tires around here:P
plz stay away from me

Does anyone have some general setup tips for FF 'drift'? I'm interested in trying to tune a couple of my cars for this, especially an FTO and a 206(still need to buy one).

umm for me when i tryed ff cars....i set it up like a FR car....and the only mod i did was adjust the spring rate so its about more in front less in da bac....and some sim tires...and your good to go.....well this is just my setup...so yeah

Your FR cars should be set up with stronger front springs as well....

My opinion is that FF carss are the hardest cars to"slide" if your trying to drift FF cars, just me, but id preffer sims....unless you don't like to use sims like myself.

a FF car isn't that hard to drift, you just need to pull theh e-brake and brake when you're understeer if you oversteered just use tap the e-brake again it works for me :)

if you use the waight transfer technique, then your shouldn't have to use the break, because all the waight and energy is being transferd during the drift

The front would slide out IF you kept throttling.. He is talking about FF drivetrain.

You have to use the throttle and e-brake often (very often) at the same time... If you feel the front starting to pull forward, hit the e-brake without the throttle. If you feel the rear starting to slide out too far, hit the throttle without the e-brake... If you hit the foot brake when you understeer you will be performing very slow slides... Most of the time, if done correctly, you are on the throttle and e-brake at the same time (letting off, and on, one another to adjust)... Of course this only applies to exhibition sliding...

To tell you the truth, I don't know why everyone has such a hard time with FF's... To me, it's the easiest drivetrain to drift (well, slide in this case), and you can perform some seriously long slides with the aforementioned drivetrain... It's just a completely different experience from drifting FR's, MR's, RR's, and AWD's...
