I do not think we will see tracks as Evolution previously said they are due in 2016. I hope to see a couple of sexy Christmas present cars along the lines of the Lexus LF-A, Maserati MC12 and Bugatti Veyron Super Sport WRE.

Hopefully it is some new content and not just an appearance of Santa in the sky although that does sound good too.

Let's hope he means Driveclub and not the bikes..(grrr. still gutted I'll be stuck on elite level 21 because of the unwanted bike inclusion)

Good morning from the US East coast. I have had this game for about a month now, and I am loving it. I recently got into the online portion, and created a team. I am looking for a few club members if anyone is interested. If you like to just enjoy racing and time attack competitions.

My PSN is BILLYW1TCHD0CT0R (Use zeroes for O's)

The club is called Top Level IRT(International Racing. The idea for the name is derived from a team from Tokyo Xtreme Racer series: http://thextremeracers.freeforums.org/txr-0-rival-profile-collection-t2397.html

I have been working through the AMG tour and man, how do people get that 3-star 5200 score on silver lining I have no idea, ok, I am not the best drifter, but I am still 500 pts down and I have no clue, arrgh, so much about this tour being too easy!

That was the trickiest event for me. I changed my approach to the first corner as I was going in too quickly. Try a slower entry to T1 and have a controlled single arcing drift until you straight facing out of T2. Jab the throttle as due to the tsunami of torque from the epic engine it is surprisingly easy to spin out.
T3 and T4 need to approached from as wide as possible so you can fling the front towards the apex to maximise the drift angle.

I am a rubbish drifter so if I can do it anyone can! I called it a day with 5,567.

Had loads of trouble with the drift event featuring the electric SLS.

That took me about 40 mins. I went straight from being unable to get 5200 to around 5750 lol.

hah, glad that I am not the only one that had issues with that event, I think the turn that messes me up the most is the last one, no matter what I do I either end up too wide and not drifting at all, or I snap too quick and end up hitting the inside barrier and I get very very few points, oh well, back to trying it again :)

(edit) and finally got it, 54xx if I remember correctly, hah, funny how when I first did it I was in the 3000s and I thought no way, now back to the motorbikes I guess!

That "Silver Lining" is pain in my ass. And so is the drifting physics in this game...
Don't worry, there are more than a few who struggle...then it sort of clicks. Think of it a more power sliding. If it helps, think of Jeremy Clarkson's voice whilst you do that:

the thing is, sometimes I have no idea why a slide that I think is super nice in the first corner got me 1100 and one that to me was crappier was 1600, it really seems more related to how close to the apex you drift than how nice the drift looks it seems, I know I was able to get past 5000 only when I started focusing a lot on remaining tight in the turns while drifting

That's the way though, closer to the apex always gets better points as a rule. Also starting the drift before the marker will help.

yeah, but I still think that drifts in the middle of the turn are cooler :) pity that evo's scoring system does not agree with me, haha, oh well, anyways glad to have it done, it's the drift that took me the longest, even longer that that original electric car drift before they made the scoring easier, forget the name, that was a killer too

The one thing negative I can say about this game is that the A.I. could be better. Judging by some videos, they seem reluctant about straying off their line. A little more dynamicy (not a word but it makes sense) in their driving styles would make the races more interesting.

I agree to an extent with this, but with so many cars on narrow tracks having them be more human like will be a total disaster I think.

"One Man, One Engine" is probably the hardest event I've encountered. Up there with the Venom/Atom time trials and Takahagi Hillbillys.

It's a tricky one, and sitting #2 on the board behind Snake I wasn't expecting. If I sunk about 4 hours in I think I could top the board. But I'm not going to.

Indeed, the Drift events in the new pack are brutal, to say the least. Each of them took me like 30 tries to get 3 Gold Stars. So yeah, I feel your pain, guys.
And another thing... Is it weird that racing with the bikes (specifically in Loch Duich) reminds me a little bit of the Manx TT? Not the Sega Saturn game, but the actual event. Certainly I wouldn't mind seeing the Snaefell Mountain Course making an appearance in another racing game - who knows, maybe Driveclub itself? :D

Adding bikes to the elite levels have killed any effort required to get them, which is a shame because its the reason I turn the game on usually.

I can't stand having to use them in the regular game.

True! Drift évents and especially that one on Putre caused me a headache

Have to come back on that fraze the tour is à bit to easy! That's only the case for the races.

Drift is by far my most underdevelopped skill :dunce:
The main problem is, you have forced traction control on. It chokes the car in the middle of a drift. If there was an option to turn it off, the car wouldn't be losing energy so much when it slides, and drifting could be way easier. I never had problems with drifting in GT5/6, but my skills suck here in DC...

Pure pain in the butt. I managed 6596...d -___-)

I was upset needless to say. I developed a strategy in my mind as I replayed the event over and over, learning the most useful technique as I went.

So repetition is key if you ask me.
