When I was playing driveclub, I notice ferraris have a double fame now so I drove a chrome 488 around the first layout of the AHR track as a sprint track and set 25.525 which is the second fastest time for the car itself and 689th in the world.
Not just Ferraris...all vehicles are double XP until the 31st.

First impressions of Driveclub. Absolutely love it!

The game is so beautiful in which in my opinion no racing game can't beat it graphically wise on console. I knew this is game is no full on sim but still the cars feel solid and have some character to them. I have yet to use my wheel on it but I sure be plugging in and even having more fun. Price of £9.99 for the full game & season pass.... No complaints at all. :) 👍

Isn't it pretty much the best looking racing game currently on any platform. Do any racing games on PC look better (higher screen resolution options and fancy triple screen setups notwithstanding)?

The most graphically advanced racing games tend to be multi platform releases (and while the PC version of eg. Project Cars no doubt look a bit better than the console versions, I still sincerely doubt it can impress as much as DriveClub), and though some of the "smaller" racing sims on PC look good I'm not aware of any that can match the overall visuals of DriveClub.

Just got back into the Tour mode, finished the All Stars tour... Feel like Saitama now, was that supposed to be challenging?
I think the tours are meant to be more like fun to do than a challenge - now, the challenges can be challenging ;) especially the Evolution ones, and the elite levels too (though of course there will always be those who just breeze through them without effort)

Looks like I got use to the game quite quick. ;)

How the hell do you drift in the electric AMG? Three tries and I've yet to get one star on that particular AMG tour event :).
Even tried switching from my usual motion controls to left stick to see if that made it easier to get it to break traction. Barely.

Start drifting way before you get to the drift zones....well it works for me

Evolution Studios have not only made it true-to-life in the best way possible, but they have also managed to make it feel like a living, breathing world that you are driving through. I am particularly in awe of the stormy weather in India, with the rolling cumulonimbus masses engulfing the hills, forming cloud windows when it clears up that is absolutely fantastic to drive through at 200km/h.

Is it weird that I beaten the target time on my first attempt? The Elite Level 20 challenge in Nakasendo w/the Lykan was much tougher IMO.

Hmm I just did the Level 20 challenge on my 1st attempt with almost 2 seconds quicker time than required

First time playing online......... gets smacked straight off first corner. :banghead:

Couple races later, side by side on the finish straight the person rams me into the wall so he can get the win. :grumpy:

Online would be soo much fun without these kids who like to think this game is a demolition derby.

This is why I don't race online so often on, well, any racing game (except for The Crew). :p

I spend 90% of my time with DC in public online races. There are a lot of good clean racers out there (along with the occasional jerk-faces). I find that the vast majority of overly aggressive drivers aren't very good at the game. So if you can pass them early on you usually don't have to worry about them for the rest of the race.

I think the crew is like test drive where the whole game is a online server.

Even in The Crew there aren't a lot of rammers, which surprises me to be honest. That game is pretty much the only racing game where I consistently play in multiplayer lobbies.

The only thing that made me stop playing The Crew back in April was that the sense of speed was off for me, when I was doing 30 it looked like 15 or something going by the scenery. Don't know if they've fixed that. Otherwise it was okay.

It is my fave game with ambilight illumination.
Which track do you recommend for best visuals and time of day or other settings?

For that real sunset desert cruising feel, I enjoy Putre at 17:00 or 17:30. Nakasendo at twilight (20:00) also looks pretty. For that stormy weather effect I described, Nilgri Hills or Yedapalli at 17:00, with stormy clouds, dynamic precipitation, and 30x time lapse evokes the best immersion.

Edit: Sort of tree'd. The post above took some of the words out of my mouth.

Both @Necroternal 's Dambusters and Nilgiri Hills at that time you mention @2clicks are great, atmospheric places. Don't forget Taapaca under stormy conditions at either dawn or dusk though, as those clouds scud in massive and low across the higher altitude parts of the track.

In short though, any track viewed and driven under a variety of times and conditions will pretty much always surprise.

Holmastad at night with heavy precipitation weather and stormy is challenging and at the same time, mesmerizing because you literally can't see a damn thing in front of you with the heavy snow.

Played that during one of our private lobby sessions, struggled to concentrate on the road and race at the same time.
