Thanks for the kind offer of the lobby today guys when I was on line @jp_footy & @bloodsugar6 and to @Maxrevv last week 👍👍 but again after the all invites and about 5-6 tries and restarting DC- It seemed to say 'unable to connect to players' so this happened to me as well last week at @nick98 lobby too..So Is this my end??? (PS4) or has it happened to anyone else on here?👍

p.s I can get on normal MP and join the events.

Well, I've had slight connection problems during my private lobby last Saturday. However, I think that your multiplayer situation is kind of odd. :indiff:
 
Slowly twiddling my thumbs hoping that a Subaru will come this year.

Though the new Civic Type R seems like it has more of a possibility of being included and included soon at that.

In other news, I wonder how many hours I've put into Driveclub since I first popped it in the PS.

You should give Clint Mansell a go, especially his film music as the track Cosme posted reminds me very much of The Fountain or shades of Requiem for a Dream by him and the Kronos Quartet (with a refrain from Iggy Pop's I Wanna be Your Dog at the end.) Clint Mansell used to write for and perform with Pop Will Eat Itself as one of the band.

I had the exactly same problem on saturday! Tried to switch MTU, DNS, but nothing work. It looks like DC servers hate us with passion. I would be pleased if somebody send a question or message about this to the developer guy which name Im not recording now. Starts with "R".

I had a resembling problem a couple of weeks ago, except that all online features in DC and other games were unavailable. However, party chats, downloads and other internet functions had no problems, so I wrote to Sony support.
They told me to reconnect to the internet using following settings:
MTU 1400
Primary DNS - 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS - 8.8.4.4

It fixed the problem for me, hope it'll help you as well.
 
Thanks @cosme appreciated :cheers:- @Vendrah I also just tweeted 'Rushy' ;) on twitter to ask if it was my end ps4/internet or any known issues. I will also try that but I have a feeling I had set those settings up a while ago-I will check again as my router/internet is not the best!

As a rough estimate I took the number of events I have done and multiplied it by 5 minutes(average event length) then divided by 60 to get the hours.

163 hours approx for me, which is pretty damn great.

Good thinking, trouble is my accolades for events has reached the maximum...so all I have to go on is my total distance driven/ridden so far: 29,5411.8 Miles.

You can find the number of events you have done within the 'Driver Statistics' page on your profile Meanelf. 👍

Dude, if I were you, I'd be throwing everything at Evo to get their attention, so I could tell them that the Mazda RX-Vision absolutely NEEDS to make the cut this year :

An hours played stat would be nice(although a little worrying for some of us i guess!). At last check I was around 70k miles,I'm going to go with an average of 100mph across the classes as a very very rough guess,so that gives 700 hours of driving time alone without factoring in photomode,paintjobs+general hanging around!
That's what I call value for money :)

I wish there were statistics for "average speed". This way it would be easy to find the exact time spent in the game driving.

Ahh, that would be the one under 'Events' - now, why hadn't I seen that before? 🤬 so, roughly that equates to 585.5 hours according to your method. That's a lot of hours...
 
@Vendrah I Managed to get into a quick P.lobby with Mr @jp_footy (thank you) so it must have been either the PS4 firmware I missed and now updated or the order you are invited in to the lobby if this helps you or anyone else not getting into lobbies once invited (advice from JP ^^) although he did thrash me :lol: with a good choice of cars and not my internet I can blame today! ;)👍

After playing Metal Gear and a couple other games for the past few weeks. I put the game back in, and my thoughts of how much I LOVE this game came rushing back and also reflecting on what an idiot I was for thinking about returning it during the launch month :lol:. I can't say it enough, this game is truely a masterpiece and definitely a greatest hits title for this console. The DLC is massive and of super high quality for a very affordable price and still being released 6 months after DLC was originally scheduled to end. An outstanding job from Evolution!

At launch, Driveclub was in, for lack of a better term, pitiful conditions. But Evolution has really redeemed this title with great updates and a fantastic paid DLC program which is worth far more than its current price IMO. Driveclub, right now, is the best racing game available on the PS4 - even though GT Sport might have a word on the matter when it releases.

I don't know - I still enjoyed it a lot, so I'd say it was more limping at the start after a fall ;) but Evolution walked it off and the work they all put into it has made the game even more remarkable 👍

Driveclub's bombing at the start could have worked in the game's favor in an odd way. The game's price dipped dramatically and got more people giving it a whirl, which in turn led to more potential DLC sales.

Could be, but they could have easily just left it to die and move on. Kudos for them turning it around I am however getting to the stage of "you know what, you've done enough go on and do a new project"
