if you have the chrome helmet you can...

Keeping with the Jordan theme, here's Damon Hill's 1999 helmet:

Was that you who I commented on to make one with no sponsors aka the original Graham Hill version?

No worries mate, the helmet livery editor is a bit of an odd one to be fair :lol:
That’s for sure. I went straight in to gt sport to try it but why cant i choose my Chrome helmet in the livery editor? :boggled:

Has anyone else been experiencing a visual glitch when you take a look at the back of your character's helmet in a session?

The livery on my helmet looks fine in the editor but when I get to the track I can see a patch on the top/back of my driver's head which looks like a quarter of a circle. I don't know if it's a problem with the UV mapping on the helmet or what.

Jos Verstappen, Max’s father, had a, in my eyes, iconic helmet. Jos was my hero in F1 growing up. So I made a replica of his helmet. As with pretty much every driver, there were a butt load of different versions over the years, but it’s basic design is what I tried to recreate. With some big help from @D-Max for making the “JV” logo.

I hope you’ll like it! DOWNLOAD

I'm confused as to which placement type to use and when. Maybe we can get some tips on that?

I've got my graphics sorted now so I can make more Jenson Button helmets.

This is my absolute favourite helmet Jenson ever wore - it first appeared late in the 2008 season and was used during the pre-season testing in his 2009 championship winning year. Sadly he never raced it in 09, but the matte finish and solid blocks of neon/day-glo colour looked fantastic alongside the neon yellow livery of the Brawn GP - far, far nicer than the yellow design he raced with IMO.

I prefer align with surface and align with camera. On my Jos Verstappen helmet, the top red circle and blue lines below it were done with align with camera and they are just square shapes :) I’m not sure what the other one is for... maybe when placing something on the front/back that needs to curve around a bit more? I don’t really use it though...

Worked on it some more and pretty happy with this result;

Took inspiration from my favourite F1 helmet, Vettel’s Space Jump Helmet when he was with Red Bull. I used that and mixed in some of my old bits and bobs and then tied it for my R8 LMS car/fake team!

And just for kicks, a pose as our one and only finger boy;

It's a shame you can't do more than a small part of the sleeves. I wanted to make an Arsenal suit. I have the badge and Emirates sponsor, it just isn't quite the same.

You could do the tee-shirt design with the short sleeves

It literally gave me a small square in the centre of the sleeve, it doesn't even wrap around.

You'll need to include a front and top picture too (while I'm not equipped to be of much help, it will help out those who are)
