The folk down at my local EB have recently had 2 returns of driving force wheels (by me!), and even the third wheel isn't centred correctly. He said that it might be every DF wheel, which i severly doubt, but some people (most) wouldn't notice a wheel that's 10 degrees to the right/left when the car is going straight.

So, i'm running a little poll to help the guys at EB. Please vote if you have/had a driving force wheel, as i need to see that it isnt just me with a wheel that "centres" to the right/left!

A fix is to solder a 2k ohm (varies) onto a centreing pot line, depending on which way it goes, but i really hate to void warranties... and if logitech can't make a 200 dollar bit of plastic centre correctly (amongst all of their other faults!!!) then i'll have to lobby to stop them being sold (public awareness campaigns are bad for logitech's business).

I have a GT Force wheel - it's centred fine, but some games are very ordinary in this regard (TOCA Race Driver for PS2 comes immediately to mind). GT3 is brilliant.

Bit sad to hear of ANOTHER problem for the Driving Force - they really didn't get the power right for that wheel, did they?

I have a brand new Momo Force wheel, and it "centers" about 5 deg left of center. There's no way to fix it in software on the PS2, though I hear it is fixable for a PC.

Hmm...I just guess you got a badly manufactured one...

Actually, nearly all of them do it, according to the many users I've talked to. In fact, Werner Winkels had to hack a set of pots into one to tune it out of the Momo.

The Momo driver software for the PC lets you dial it out, but obviously that doesn't help on the PS2.
