they need to add g25 support. bs. gt the best wheel, only thing good about it is the quick tune on the fly. g25's clutch and 6 shifter makes it a whole lot better
no,the new DFGT wheel is the best for now
,especially taking to account it costs the same as the prefious dfp when it came out 3 years ago........
spyrrari.
you think the g25 clutch is good??...
@viper...so....
its my opinion yes...
you think the g25 clutch is good??...
or what are you on about...?...lol.
spyrrari.
I think the reason people love their G25 is because they enjoy the operation lag of needing to clutch and shift, or needing to heal toe to down shift properly. It makes the simulation feel just one step closer to reality.
Off Topic::::
By the way spyrrari, I downloaded your Suzuka Vette replay.
Nice work being top 5, I'm going to try your way of going 3rd gear for the S corners, Keep in third for the first hard right after the S, and 3rd on the Long sharp left before the Long straight near the end.
I see a LAMBO in GT TV .. im guessing GT5 will have that car!
the wheel is perfect,the h-shifter is to be improved drasticly before i will buy it..
NOT!!!!!.....sorry mate,there are lots of people who dont agree with you ...including me!
the reason i bought the new DFGT is cause i absolutaly dont like the PLASTIC clicking no feel at all gear shifter of the g25................![]()
So is the DFGTsorry guys,its just a plastic toy....
A couple off weeks ago, I talked to Logitech Benelux. The people I talked to are Dutch, your people and I asked about a next Logitech wheel and about a new G25 wheel. They said that there isn't going to be one. Not in the next few years. Maybe they are not allowed to give this information yet, but I believed him.as soon as there will be an update on the g25(it will come...!!!)i will stick to the new dfgt wheel cause it is perfect in what it is designed for....and thats it!!!!!
There was a guy from Logitech, whom made some posts about the DFGT vs G25 but I can't find the thread/ posts anymore. He said that the G25 is a better build wheel than the DFGT. I believe it was this guy.

Hi.
My name's Chris, and I work for Logitech. I'm the product manager for both the Driving Force GT and the G25, as well as the G-series keyboards and some other stuff. I'm the guy in the YouTube video explaining how the DFGT's new realtime adjustment dial feature works. Now that GDC is over and the wheel is actually announced, I'll try and answer some of the questions I've seen about it.
The Driving Force GT (DFGT) is a direct replacement for the Driving Force Pro. It is not intended to address the same customer as the G25.
The pedals base has the same external design, but the internals were modified slightly to improve reliability and precision. Much like the G25 pedals, the DFGT's are set up with two parts - the pedal arm turns a gear that is affixed over the potentiometer shaft rather than turning the pot directly. This means that excessive force (and the subsequent deformation of the plastic) on the pedals can no longer cause the potentiometer to move out of tolerance and produce erratic values. The performance of the DFGT's pedals should be significantly improved over the Driving Force Pro's.
The force feedback transmission is a double-reduction, single-motor system. The gear ratio has been modified such that it is much smoother and quieter than the DFP's. It also features a backlash-reduction main gear similar to the system used in the G25. It does not generate the same amount of torque that the G25 does, as it only has one motor, but it does deliver the same amount of torque as the DFP.
I'll pop in and answer further questions as I can during the week. It's been quite hectic leading up to the announcement, and I think it will only calm down a little now. Hopefully I can get some pics up of the internals as well.
The wheel feels more like the G25 than the DFP. It's a bit "heavier" to steer than the G25, but is much easier than the DFP. The G25 is able to be turned faster than the DFGT, though.
There is currently 6-speed support in the GT5rologue US version we demoed at GDC. Obviously, as we do not write the game, I cannot say definitively what the future holds for shifter/clutch support. I do not expect things to change, however.
The major differences between metal and plastic pedals are that there is more flex in plastic than metal, and that with metal pedal arms/frames we are able to use stronger springs without experiencing mechanical failure of the parts to which the springs are attached. The new design of the DFGT pedal arms mitigates the effect of pedal arm flexing on the pot, increasing reliability and accuracy to G25 levels. Naturally, plastic is easier to break than metal, but the type of abuse that would be required to damage the DFGT's pedals is significant.
There is no mechanical 200 degree stop in the DFGT. This is now handled via software, and is up to the game developer to implement.
It is beter build and better quality. But if it is a better option is entirely up to the user. Some like the DFGT more than the G25 and vice versa. I always liked the DFP and if the DFGT is better, than this is a good wheel. But I prefer a clutch and a H-pattern shifter which the DFGT doesn't have, so I prefer the G25.so general concensus is G25 is the better option eh ?
can the driving force be used with pc too ?
