Driving Line - On or Off?

Unless you are on your very first few laps of a track, the racing line kind of ruins the game. You end up watching for that red line and it's like you are not even driving the car.

A huge part of the pleasure of racing is picking that braking point at trackside before a chicane, and seeing how far you can push it back every lap without stuffing the car into the sand, or wall.
 
I turn it off because it distracts me. I don't always hit the apex, but I like to learn the track by myself. Also, it really depends on your driving style.

So basically my aids are all off except for ABS set to 1, but I will turn it off just to feel that real driving feel, which I actually did the first 2-3 months when I got the game. Oh, it also helps if you put a piece of paper on your tv/monitor where it shows the gears, just like driving in real life.. it helps a lot with interior view or just the tachometer.
