Gonna get on tonight and I'd like to run test races for the series :) I won't be on until late though cuz I have an 18 hole golf match from 4-8 at least.

So far the rules are sports hards, 1200kg and the rest is wide open.

Still dont agree....

Edit: I'll help you tune tonight if you want. And is it just me or is this ish funny.

I said 500pp so a stock viper could fairly run against a tweaked s2k.

I dont agree with a weight restriction. I think limiting pp is a better idea. A light car will handle better but will have lower hp so it will have a lower top speed. Pp is the best way.

This.

I don't know if I'm gonna get on GT5 tonight. I'm feeling a little call of duty. Haven't touched MW3 since January.

I've logged in but no one is ever on when I am off work. So oh well.

The idea behind the tires is so that as many different types of cars can run together as possible. That's what I've wanted out of the series altogether.

I picture a 500hp Gtr vs. and 380hp s2000. The gtr will have overwhelming straightaway speed, giving it that advantage, but the tires are the leveling factor. The Gtr will have to brake earlier and be more careful as to not lose control in the corners. It is supposed to reward good driving and good tuning

It's basically creating a balanced, potent car and having skillful driving technique that will win races

But that's doesn't work. Or you would have to make sure the track you were going to use had a ton or corners. Cause I promise you if I was the gtr and you drove the s2k, I would beat you. And by a lot. You can have a ton of cars be together if you restrict the pp. That just means the gtr would have to focus more on handling then power like the s2k. Making it an even fight. A race series with cars like a lambo vs a civic is not my kinda series to be in.

With a brother who has had a very successful race series (flyin miata) and who has made it to the top drivers of gt academy, please trust me when I say the only way to make a even race with a large group of car choice like such is to restrict pp.

Agreed rise. I've already tried something like this.. The speed difference from different tire compounds is not as hard to over come. The difference from hp is a greater factor. .

500pp is the way to go. How many times do I have to say this. A stock viper with heavy will be fair vs a tuned and lightend nsx. The viper will go faster eventually but the nsx will get it in the corners.

PP it is then. I am probably sticking to the sports hards, though. If good tuning won't be rewarded as much, then good driving will be. Plus it will still preserve the "as much power as you dare to use" factor I was going for. I guess the pp limit will just confine it a little bit.

So at this point: 500pp, sports hards, no weight limit, no drivetrain restriction, street cars only, aero parts allowed. How's that sound?

👍 That means My little friend will be coming out.. 500pp, 780kg and 330 hp..

I'm gonna use a '96 town car 2600kg 190hp. Yeahhhhh. That should be 500pp.
