DS3 users, what's your license ratio?

Thanks dude. I cant deny, on some there was some grinding out of frustration but that clean IC10 was my fastest of my attempts. Just have to get a feel for the hovercraft *cough* I mean Ferrari.

I set ABS @ 1 and a 6/2 brake bias.

How did you change the brake bias? I've never seen it in the settings for licenses...

I brought it up in the RA menu. Only option not disabled after the patch.

What bugs me is how important the brake settings are. Fiddling around with them can mean the difference between bronze and gold.
 
I got all gold on the licenses. Some took me quite a lot of tries!. My advice, don't follow the driving line, most of the time your much faster without it!
 
Golded all mine as well, but some were a bit harder than others. Oh, and the S.Vettel Challenge was just... :dunce: with a DS3 controller. But if I managed to get gold in the AMG Intermediate, then I might have a chance to gold the S.Vettel Challenege as well... :D

From memory I think about 40/60 were pretty easy - meaning it only took a few goes at most, B&A were an absolute breeze. There were a few tricky ones that needed some repetition (eg I have never like slalom tests), playing with settings (though I do not think I changed brake bias), or just learning the AI. IMO IC-10 and IA-10 were the hardest.

From what I hear Vettel gold is a completely difficult ballgame from golding AMG Intermediate. I have done the latter, not the former - which I will be revisiting a little later when I can dedicate some lengthier time to trying to improve on my previous efforts. fwiw I started Bspec over xmas and I think I will just finish it off now.

I find from these threads, that people mean different things when they say they use the DS3.

Can those who've got all gold, please post what combination of controls they are actually using ?

Im the opposite, I use the stick for gas and arrows for steering..
I found it more important to control the gas plus I'm right handed and you're probably lefty :)

All Gold, didnt feel it was hard. I'm struggling a bit getting the last AMG trophy in gold, seems I lost some time in the last sector but I can't really see where.

Control are on my sig. R2 L2 for accel break x/[] for speed up down, O for break.

Vettel is giving me a hard time, actually I dont really have fun driving that car on the pad so I put that on my do list for later. I'm currently having fun in online event and online races.
 
My ratio is 60/60 with ds3 but now i have a g27
 
All gold for me. But I dont think its possible to do vettel challenge on ds3. it is a shame, as i was hoping for platinum trophy in this game
 
I've got all 60 golds using a DS3. Weirdly, the S-License was quite easy compared to the A and IB licenses. The hardest test for me was the Nissan 370Z at Indy test, it took many, many, many tries to gold that one. :scared:
 
I just did all the licences 1 time and left them, I got 14 golds with my DS3, maybe i'll go for gold, seems possible, although i don't see any point to it :indiff:

That's the one i'm having most trouble with. With all others I can get with in a tenth or 2 of gold, but this on i'm about 3-4 tenths.
 
I can't get past the second slalom test (FT86) so I have quit trying to get all golds. The last time I checked it was 32 gold 24 silver 4 bronze.
 
I have 60 gold using DS3.
It's tricky to achieve but always remember that skid recovery force is on and you have to be very aggressive on some tests.
I used the handbrake quite actively.

Just curious if I have a decent record in the licenses compared to others...

I have 50 gold, 9 silver and 1 bronze so far and I don't think i'm gonna be able to improve much on that, maybe another 2 gold and possibly silver that effing bronze from the Special License on Suzuka.

I have all golds, using a DS3. A few license tests were particularly hard, expecially IB tests, but not as much as Special Event: Gran Tour - Eiger Nordwand, Alfa 8C, that had been my personal hardest test before I unlocked Vettel's Challenge, where I only managed a mere bronze in Monza.
 
I started off doing license tests before anything else. Got 54 golds and 6 silvers, because I got lazy and impatient to actually start racing. The silvers were in the license before S. I use the X for throttle square for brake and the D-pad for steering. I've only used the left analog stick for steering during the NASCAR special event.
 
Damn it, the only one I can't get gold on is the FR Slalom in International B.

Does anyone have some tips? For the FF one I just throttled it all the way but for this one the car always slides off if I go to fast.

60 golds too with the DS3

IC10 was REALLY hard, and some tests with turns (Like the S at Nurbrugring, Karrusel)

S licenses were the easy ones
 
Think I am at 32 Gold 27 Silver and 1 Bronce at the moment. I cant get anything better than bronce on FR drive pylon test. Did it dozens of times with no success at getting better times.
 
49gold /11 silvers. Some of the A and IB licenses are just... horrid. The slalom ones were particularly difficult.

Yeah I tried that but the best I can achieve is like 0.138 secs off gold.
This is the only real hard license test I've encountered, I golded the other ones within 5 or 6 tries.

Another real hard challenge is the X1 challenge, after an hour I'm still 1 second off bronze at Suzuka.
 
FR cone-slalom was pretty easy i think.
4-5 tries and golded it by .48 seconds on my first run to the finish (disqualified the other times:ouch:) Juststay as close to the cones as you dare without hitting them.

Once you are up to speed, you want to keep at a steady 3/4 throttle so that your speed is constant rather than rising and falling with each cone. It just means that more of the cars grip can be used for steering rather than acceleration and deceleration.

Oh, and I have all 60 golds with DS3.

I have 59 gold and 1 silver so I really wanna make it 60 gold.

I have all golds on all the licenses. The discrepancy in functionality between the DS3 and Wheel really only factors into the Vettel challenges.

DS3 works best on license for me.... lols 60 gold.
but Vettel challenge.... FML to ppl who got gold, nice job, i only silver nurb, gold monza, and bronze suzuka. havent really played it much but im just not good with the wheel since i been using DS controller since gt1...

I'm not good with a wheel either, but the X1 doesn't handle like a real car and the wheel is therefore quite easy to use for this challenge IMO.
