Delfino, sorry for not bringing this up, but your times were disallowed because you failed to make a pitstop during a race (you must make 1 pitstop under the rules).

How many laps are we doing TS ?

And how many rounds are there in the series ?

First splits of the day, starting with Lap one:

T1: 0'34.425

T2: 1'09.704

T3: 1'33.506

T4: 1'56.208

T5: 2'29.343

T6: 3'02.921

Second Lap:

T1: 0'33.693

T2: 1'08.175

T3: 1'31.088

T4: 1'54.454

It feels strange to drive a DTM car on Circuit De La Sarthe, but there were no problems in my first 2 lap run.

I'm using softs actually. I thought i'd save the softs for the race. As for Hundieres, You might be a little scared on the braking and not agressively attacking it like I am.

And when do you usually put the hammer up and the braking foot down? Probably right after the Mulsanne Kink before going into Mulsanne corner? Also, that has to be the premiere test to see if a racecar driver is truly awake and aware.:scared:

Pretty much, getting closer to the gravel trap each and every lap.

Oooh the Sarthe, interesting run for me, i think, i shall have to decide what tyre compund to run.........good choice of round TS, the bumpy tarmac will make this tough! :)

Joe

Times sent, don't think they are much good this round though, had a few problems here and there, every time I tried the run. Serious drafting though! 👍 Good luck to all participants!

Joe

Times submitted last night out of fear I would be back from a anime club meeting after the deadline - which did not happen since I returned home about a half hour before this post was written and posted.:dopey::O
Serious drafting though! 👍
And that, IMO, is the key word for this round - drafting. The key to my race time and fast lap being what they are(when they're posted) is I was able to race behind a Ford GT Race Car for some parts of the first half of the race before he started pulling away for me to leave me on my own the rest of the way. To the best of my knowledge, I was going as fast as 208 MPH in the draft down the Mulsanne Straight! Yeah kiddies, by DTM standards that is fast.;)

OT to TS: Any chance you could have a avatar of a Ferrari F1 race car with the driver wearing a Santa hat?:D

Drafting was definately what you needed for fast times, and that is also what i think will be my downfall - I only was able to draft cars in front for half of the laps in the race. I also lose out to you on the top speed CAMi, i only reached 204mph! :grumpy:

Joe

Just curious to know, What tyres are you guys using?

Err, Racing Softs all the way, 4 laps first stint, then two 3 lap stints, although i was pushing it at the end of the 4th lap, with a bright red pair at the front!:)

Ah, you too I see. The Mulsanne straight is very easy on tires and is a good brake all the turning. In fact, I was actually typing that post while I was on the straight.

RM/RS all the way in the times that I submitted.

:eek:RACECAR, you're either one of two things - nuts or crazy!

Congrats Racecar ... i'm going to read the rule book before the next race .

TS
Results posted!

Congratulations to RACECAR for his first GTPDTM victory! :D
Ah cool. Looks like that multi-tasking didn't effect me at all.:sly: Thanks TS and Del. I'm surprised you didn't participate TS. What happened?
