Welcome to the dual-use garage, We will be tuning a variety of lightweight cars and mid-weight cars. These tunes will vary in what we want the car to do, but mainly they'll be tuned to run at high speeds and handle nicely at those high speeds.

I will try to make a tune every couple days. And we will also try to tell you where the vehicles are able to be purchased or won. Most will be in the used car lots. Some will be prize, and not many will be production vehicles.

Of course we're always up for requests. So go ahead and let us know if you want a certain car tuned, We will do it as soon as we can. Please be sure to tell us what you want the car to do otherwise we wont know what you want it tuned for, and wouldn't that suck? Basically just tell us what tires you want to run, how high of performance you'd like, where you intend to use it, and we'll tune it around those three things.

Constructive Criticism is always welcome.

Bergauk [Or if you want to be more personal, call me Cliff]
My half of the Garage will be dedicated to creating nice well balanced drifters for a wide range of users.
Come to me for drift cars, and I'll set off to create a drifter for you, and have it done fairly quick, most likely within a few hours or days depending on the difficulty of it. Although there is a catch, I rarely tune for any N tires. I'm fine with Sports tires, or Racing though.

T-Squared: Hello, I'm T-Squared! The first thing that I will tell you is I am NOT the greatest tuner by far, but I like making fun and oddball tunes. I also try to make my cars on a budget, so very rarely will you have to buy all of the top upgrades. I don't have a suspific kind of car type I tune, but I do favor 4wd and Turbo engines. If you are unhappy about one of my tunes, feel free to tell me as kindy or unkindly on what I can chage to make it better. If you try a tune, or if you are just browsing around, Thank you for coming to Dual-Use Garage!

Jetboy

Hi folks, name's Jetboy. (Real name is Corey, if you want to use that handle. .) I guess if the garage has a title for the moment, it's Jet's House of Speed.

I specialize predominantly in anything musclecars, usually drifting (because they do go sideways pretty well.) and gripping (Correct parts are important. Correct settings make the gold.) I also love tuning cars for the Nürburgring 4 Hour Race and the El Capitain 200 race, as both use cars around the same performance bracket.

Jetboy's Tunes:

This is closed setup thread. If you want to be on the tuning roster please let me via a private message know and I will consider you being added.

RX-7 RS-R '97 (FD)
606 hp
and somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000kgs

This was a fairly fun vehicle to tune. Tuned it specially for DKX, and I guess you could say its the car thats going to open up my Garage. So without further ado, here it is.

Start off by buying all the best parts, which includes:
Racing Exhaust
Sports Chip
Engine Balancing
Port and Polish
Original Turbine Kit [Go to Tuner Village for it]
Racing Intercooler
Racing Brakes
Brake Controller
Original Suspension [Also Tuner Village]
Full Customize Transmission
Triple Plate Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
Weight Reduction Stage 3
Rigidity Refresher
Nitrous [If you want it]
And Full Customize Limited Slip.
Built to run on R3's

O.k. Now we're going to start with the brakes:
Set them to 7 front 13 rear

Next, the Suspension:
Spring rate 9.8 front, 7.0 rear
Ride height 100 front 105 rear
Shock absorbers 4 front 7 rear
Camber angle 1.5 front 0.5 rear
Toe angle 0 front 0 rear
Stabilizers 1 front 3 rear

After that we have the Transmission:
Autoset to 13 then set the gears as follows
First 2.807
Second 1.834
Third 1.410
Fourth 1.093
Fifth 0.876
Sixth 0.733
Final 4.253

Next after that we have the Limited Slip Differential:
Initial Torque 16
Accel. 42
Decel. 18

Next the Weight Balance:
75kgs. of ballast weight
set to +20 towards the rear.

Last but not least turn all the Aids off.

This was a fun car to tune, it has a lot of power and it gets it to the ground very quickly. Has the soul of a drifter with the handling for grip.
DKX I hope you enjoy it.

I'll review the car tomorrow when i get the chance

Edit: did you forget to post a part? I bought everything you said except nos and my car only has 568hp.

I took out the ballast weight cause my car kept spinning but now its fine. This is an awesome setup! if you want a grip car that can get sideways when you want it to this is the setup for you. I just found myself a new track car that won't be collecting dust

I could swear mine has 606 hp..
Oh wait I know now...
Engine Balancing and Port and Polish
Try that. All 606hp should be there. Then it'll really murder the competition.:)
Thanks for the good review too!

I'll go edit the post and put those two in.

It has 606hp now, It murdered the competition before now its like bringing a tank to a gun fight

Found in Nissan dealership.
Nissan 240ZG (HS30)
I figured this would be fun to tune after watching Wangan Midnight. Although its not the right color nor does it have the right horsepower. Lets just use our imagination. Its still a beast. Anyways, on to the parts list.

Parts to buy:
Port and Polish
Engine Balancing
Weight Reduction Stage 3
Rigidity Refresher
Racing Exhaust
Sports Chip
NA Tuning Stage 3
Nitrous [If needed]
Racing Brakes
Brake Controller
Racing Suspension
Full Customize Transmission
Triple Plate Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
And Full Customize Limited Slip.
Built to run Racing Super Soft

First We'll start with the brakes, now knowing that this car was tuned to go moderately fast, its going to need to be able to stop itself incase anything goes wrong. So we're going to set the brake balance as follows:
Front 6
Rear 9

Next we'll go onto the Suspension, Again taking into mind that this car is tuned to go fast. Set the suspension as follows:
Spring rate: 3.7 Front/4.2 Rear
Ride Height: 125 Front/130 Rear
Shock (Bound):6 Front/7 Rear
Shock (Rebound):7 Front/9 Rear
Camber Angle:0.5 Front/1.0 Rear
Stabilizers:2 Front/3 Rear

Next, we move onto the Transmission, still keeping in mind that this car was tuned for high speed. We'll set the Transmission in the following order:
Auto set 14
First Gear: 3.008
Second Gear: 2.044
Third Gear: 1.463
Fourth Gear: 1.110
Fifth Gear: 0.899
Sixth Gear: 0.735
And the Final Gear: 3.845

Finally, we move onto the Limited Slip Differential, which will be set as follows:
Initial Torque: 22
Accel.: 46
Decel.: 16

And then we're done.
Should have 293 Horsepower And Weighing somewhere in the neighborhood of 880kgs.
Now go have fun.

Picture up at top of thread

Edit: Totally didnt notice that Vince247 had a Devil Z as well in RRV. Didn't mean to bite off of that idea as I had no clue that someone had beat me to it. Oh well. Hopefully noone noticed.

Funfact: 240Z's are very abundant in norcal. Also when my dad was younger, a 240Z crashed into his car, and most likely got mangled. while my dads car was allright. Mercury Comet Cyclone FTW.

IMG0126.jpg

Found in Historic Showroom. Always in black.
Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A
610hp And I honestly don't know the weight.

Now this car, I just decided to buy on a whim of it looking pretty cool. Little did I know that it would turn out amazing. I bought it, bought all the parts I thought I'd need, then took it out to Infineon to see what I could with it. All tuning was done on site and I think it turned out perfectly.

Parts List:
Stage 3 Weight Reduction
Port and Polish
Engine Balancing
Rigidity Refresher
Racing Exhaust
Sports Chip
Nitrous [If Needed]
Original Turbine Kit [Also know as Stage 5]
Racing Intercooler
Racing Brakes
Racing Suspension
Full Customize Transmission
Triple Plate Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
Built to run R3's

First off, lets modify the Suspension as follows:
Spring Rate: 7.7 Front/ 3.9 Rear
Ride Height: 92 Front/100 Rear
Shock(Bound):6 Front/5 Rear
Shock(Rebound):9 Front/10 Rear
Camber Angle:1.6 Front/0.8 Rear
Stabilizers: 2 Front/5 Rear

Not much will be done to the Transmission, but there is enough done that it needs to have the Full Customize, so modify it as follows:
Autoset: 12
Final Gear: 3.905
Do not mess with the regular gears, they are fine. The only mods are done for top speed and acceleration.

Last lets turn off the Driving Aids.

This is a very simple but highly effective tune.

EDIT: Grip tune

Same Gearing. Same Tires.

Change the Camber angle in the front to 2.0//3.0 Rear
Then add a Full Custom LSD and set the Initial Torque to 5//Accel. 35// Decel. 15
Then buy a brake controller and set it to 9 front//5 rear

Thats all.

Hay bergauk, can I post one of my cars? I don't want to make my own garage just for a car or two. Its a sleeper SUV that tops out at 210mph:dopey: and it can go around corners fairly well.

This car must be won in a rally event, but most likely you have one with a couple inches of dust on it in the back of your garage. This car/suv looks are deciving and it can go 210 by it's self and much faster in the draft. B-spec Bob allso seems to like this car.

610hp

Built to run R3's

This is a very simple but highly effective tune.

P.s. Infineon Lap times were always a minute and fifty seconds.

OOkay. R3s? Seriously? Only doing 1:50s at Infineon? Hell, that's all of 5 seconds quicker than a 256hp SRT-4 Neon on S2s. With MANY screwups.

That's simply deplorably slow.

Not for drifting as much as possible with my handicap. I know its capable of faster times. Would you like to set a grip time in it? I will do so right now now. And thats sports car course too.
Edit: 1:45. simply the best I can do while drifting

Not for drifting as much as possible with my handicap. I know its capable of faster times. Would you like to set a grip time in it? I will do so right now now. And thats sports car course too.

I realize all of the above...

That said, why run R3s when attempting to drift a car, and why post a drift time as a benchmark of the car's performance?

My Neon lap was also at the Sports Car Course. ;) If memory serves, I've run as quick as a 1:19 in a road car there (albeit on R3s with 500+hp).

Also, 1:3Xs are possible with S3s and about 450hp of Spirra.

Why not? Its a pretty speedy drifter. I tuned it to be that way, whats 20 seconds slower than a human driver? An AI driver. Stay close in the race while drifting, what could be better? In more capable hands it will do a better time. I for one at the moment am not. I've been up since 4 am today.

Bspec bob just got 1:32 while I was typing this.

A car can be made to be oversteery and quick to get slideways yet still be a grip car; It sacrifices little speed in the end and can make the car more fun. Trying to get a car on grabby tyres to be a drifter and nothing else results in SLOW as you can see.

There will be the possibility of seeing my Volkswagen Beetle in the garage. You know, just to make things interesting. Also, Pajero, and R390 will be finished this week hopefully. Just some fine tuning and they'll be good to go and settings will be posted for them.

what other car's do you have in mind? I was going to try the supra, but don't like drifting. could you make a grip one?

Possibly a Toyota RSC Tune, if I can tame the power that is.
Do you have any car that you'd like to see tuned?

For sure on the Supra, I'll see what adjustments need to be done to make it grip, and edit the alternate into the original post. I'll let you know by PM.

I'm doing a few reviews for other garages and thought I'd give one of yours a belt. Is there a car that you'd particularly like feedback on? Please understand that I'm a fairly dreadful driver.
