Well well well,...
played it through the weekend.
Need to say the critics and bad reviews are worse than the game. If I would listen to review scores i wouldn't have played the excellent Mafia series.
Now On DNF.
Well obviously it ain't pretty graphical wise, it ain't no Crysis. But we all expected that from a game with an engine as old as some gamers.
The fun is still there, strafing and firing all you got, glitching bosses and searching secrets.
The shrink levels were fun.
The shotgun is awesome as ever.
Now for a total Die hard DN fan, it is totally worth playing it. just the price tagis a bit harsh for a game of this caliber.
They would have aimed for a price tag at 35€/Usd, it would sell like hot cakes.
For those who are not of the DN generation they probably can't relate to this game.
No cover system, no iron aim,...
I loved the game (it's rare that i play a game to the end, but DNF i did), but it is definetly not worth 50 bucks.
I missed some other things too: not able to carry a lorry full of weapons, the end screen of a mission, the secret places (repalced with hidden interactions ),....
All in all, i would give it a 6/10.
If you like the Duke, at least rent it.
And try the PC version, you don't need a fast one to play it
