The Miata hiting gaurd rail video is very old (before drifting became the big craze), He wasn't trying to drift at all but was trying to take the the corners fast, he went too fast into the bend and understeered into the rail (some dirt on the road may have played a part).

Someone decided to edit the video by adding footage of guys playing initial D game and so it seems like he wanted to be Takumi.

The turn acually got tighter, and he was going too fast, so he understeered. I don't think he was trying to drift, but he has a sticker on his fender that says something about drifting. The funny part is when someone says "you should start to cry when your dad comes."


If you read the comments on that video in streetfire.net, there is some funny stuff in there. Someone said, "you should go back the the gaurdrail and kiss it, it just saved your ****ty lives"
