Duplicate Gift Cars

Howdy!! What are folks doing with duplicate gift cars? They cannot be sold, and it appears they can only be "removed". It doesn't hurt to keep them, but I was wondering if there is something more useful or creative to do with them.

At the moment you can only delete them, hopefully PD may change this and they can be sold for mileage points or XP but I wouldn't hold your breath! But right now all you can do is either keep them or delete them.

I was wondering if there is something more useful or creative to do with them.

Depends on the car, but you could use them to show off more liveries for that car, you could have track specific tunes set up in the dupe that your original doesn't have, one could be for off road and the other not as most cars can be setup for dirt...

Most N spec cars can be upgraded & changed to a higher or lower spec by adding or subtracting weight & or horsepower.
In this way you can have duplicates but in different categories, for example N400, N500 & N600.
BOP settings may prevent usage of upgraded cars but once the new career modes show up in December, you should be able to use them all.

Gift cars should not be duplicates. They should all be unique with an option to take credits instead. Or at least they should give credits as an option if you are about to receive a duplicate.

Actually there is a workaround for this. It involves taking a picture, saving it, then re-opening it from your library. When you open the scape from your library, the car will be in it, but will not be "checked out" from your garage, allowing you to add the same car a second time.
